My husband suggested I use athletic tape and it works perfectly. Tape worked great for me. ### ⭐⭐⭐⭐ Good, But Not the Best Finger Tape for Grappling *by M***G on May 10, 2024* The properties of this tape make it an inferior option for finger-taping for grappling, but an option none-the-less.- As you train, the tape will stretch and the compression will loosen. I've noticed this over the course of one 90 minute class/roll session. By the end of a second class, it is basically doing nothing. That said, it's cheap; you can re-tape during rest rounds or between classes.- It can be hard to tear cleanly without two hands, so if you're taping your own finger, it can take a few attempts of slightly mangling the tape. That said, you get better at tearing it (make sure you're not pulling it taught as you're trying to tear it), and if all else fails, you can honestly just pull it hard enough and it'll snap.- I have hairy fingers, and it can sting pretty bad taking the tape off at the end of training.- It doesn't react great to getting fully saturated with water, so if you have to wash your hands, you may have to re-tape or it can get uncomfortable. However, I haven't noticed a problem with it just getting somewhat wet over time from sweat.Where this shines for me is recovery. I wrap a few loops around any sore knuckle for a little compression during the day, and it helps greatly.
