I use these when I want laundry to come out with that stronger fresh Gain scent, especially for loads like towels, bedding, or clothes where I want the clean smell to last after they come out of the dryer. Detergent alone is fine, but these add that extra boost that makes the laundry feel more freshly washed. They are easy to use — I just add them at the start of the wash and do not have to change anything else about the load. The scent is definitely noticeable, so this is best if you actually like scented laundry. For me, that is the point, and these do a great job.

As a test, I wore the same shirt for four days and nights, and it still smelled fresh. My friends and family have even noticed! It's easy to use; just measure and toss it in the wash. It dissolves easily in both top and front loaders. I'm not sure if it contributes to softness since I use fabric softener, but I have sensitive skin and haven't noticed any irritation. While it's a bit pricey, it lasts much longer than cheaper beads. Just because I'm frugal doesn't mean I don't want to smell clean and fresh!

Adds a great scent to laundry. I also use the gain dryer sheets. I took off one star only because I feel the scent doesn’t stay very long. They do dissolve easily unlike others I’ve tried.
