This dress is so much more than I expected. The fit is true to size and the material is thicker than expected in a good way. I always worry when getting clothes online, but this was a great experience and I will visit this shop again.

Dress is better than expected. I'm 5'6" and it fits pretty much at my waist level. Skirt length is perfect, I prefer skirts to be a little above the knee minimum to longer skirts. The corset sides can be adjusted for fit. That's great because as I continue to lose weight, I want to future proof clothing purchases at this point. There is a zipper in the back that I had no problems zipping up myself because its only about halfway and then the button around your neck was not a problem either. I prefer to pair this with a bolero. It takes away from the beautiful back of the dress but no matter.Highly recommend! Scarlet Darkness tends to be on the larger size. As a rule of thumb, I always down size by 1. I used to be an XL in women and in the past ordered L from SD and it fit perfect. Now I'm an L in women's and the M in SD clothes fits perfect. So unless you want looser fit clothing (which may take away the silhouette from some of their clothes), choose one size down when making Scarlet Darkness purchases. They are my favorite brand of clothing and I continue collecting pieces. Not a single piece of clothing was I ever not satisfied.Note about the material: I actually prefer polyester considering it remains true black whereas organic fabrics like cotton or wool tends to wear down blacks. I live in FL and their clothes don't make me any hotter than anything else in my wardrobe.

The dress is out of this world. It is so unique style wise and the fabric feels and looks expensive but really didn’t cost that much. The wine color totally matches the photo. I really didn’t have a place to wear this as of yet however it was so pretty I had to have one. The size might run just slightly small but just slightly.

The purple color is so beautiful and rich, like eggplant deep purple. The lace and side tie details are lovely and well stitched. Nothing on this dress feels weak although I do with the eyeloop for the top neck attachment was a little bigger as it's hard to close, especially with long nails. I am 5'5" about 150lbs and normally fit a size 10 no issue, I got the medium (8-10) and I should have gotten the large. So if you are on the edge of a size range or not sure, I suggest sizing up!! The dress length is nice and it fit tightly over my large (DD) chest, it was too tight overall for me to wear and even if I could, it would be showing my stomach too much at that level of tightness for me to be comfortable going out. Hopefully I can get down to an 8 and I feel this will be wearable. Otherwise, it's a very well made dress and fantastic color.

The bust is strongly fitted with mild stretch to allow for slight size differences. I think it's a lovely dress, particularly for a teen or someone in their twenties to wear. Very vampiric. The color is true, a very deep burgundy, and lovely.No issues with contruction that I can see.

Easy to put on. Has some stretch if you need it. It's a gorgeous dress that is so comfortable. No itchy material. Flows beautifully. I got the purple and it's a gorgeous rich darker purple. Perfect for a Halloween costume, but it's a stunning dress to wear year round if you enjoy the style.Absolutely love this, and don't wear dresses. In fact I haven't bought or OWNED a dress since the late 90s when I worked in retail! But I had to get this. I do YouTube videos and I thought it was good for my makeup looks. But I can see myself wearing this out with some boots for a nice dinner.I definitely recommend purchasing. And feel like size is spot on.
