Replaced our ancient door stopper perfectly!

I bought this to replace a closer on our door to the garage that was starting to fail. I wanted one that would not stay open like our last one since we sometimes didn't notice that the door was left open. This one fit the bill. It has a template to install that was a great help. It is also very easy to adjust with separate adjustments for the power to close in general and the latching speed. After installation and adjustment, the door was harder to open than I had hoped but after using it for a while, it is now easier to open.

First off, this is a really good door closer for the price. Appears to be really well built. Comes with easy to read instructions (not Chinenglish) and hardware for a variety of applications. It even comes with a template for drilling holes, however the holes for the PA plate weren’t correct. After adjusting this door for swing and latch speeds, it’s still overpowered for a standard 36” interior door and requires a lot of force to open. Recommend the size 1-4

This was a cost effective way to replace an existing door closer. It works well, adjusts easily, and fits in using the standard mounting holes.

Ordered this as a replacement and it fit perfectly. Installed it in about 10 minutes. We had our last one for over 5 years and this door is used very often. The last one was fine but the door started popping open. It opens very easily when pushed and closes nice and soft (and silently). Will purchase again!

It’s generally hard to be sure by the Picture and Description whether or not I’m ordering the correct item but in THIS case……it was a PERFECT Replacement….the Price was quite Reasonable and it worked PERFECTLY.

Works great on fire door to garage. The spring hinges by themselves caused the door to slam when closing. I was able to release the spring tension on the hinges and use only the door closer to fully control the sweep and latch speeds. It is a little more than needed where an adjustable storm door closer might have been sufficient. But, I wanted to make sure that strong winds blowing through would not keep the door from closing.

I use this product for a commercial door closer for a ballistic door that was almost 250 lb. All in all it was a fair product, But not suitable for a commercial closing situation, especially if the door is relatively heavy. I think that anything from 200 lb up will not close on the low end of the backswing without momentum. The customer would not accept the product and because of ordering on Amazon by the time I disassembled it and installed the higher quality product, the company and Amazon would not refund or swap out something of anequal amount.

Have this install for my restaurant front door, the door is very heavy metal glass door and this handle it great, even on windy days, it held well and never broken down. It's been install for a few months now, never have a problem for it yet. Super easy to install, easy to understand instructions.

I used this door closer to replace a very old broken closer on an outside door. I was looking for a closer that could handle wooden door and provide closer and back-check adjustments. I did not have to make any adjustments when I installed it. Time will tell if I need to make any adjustment as it has more use. The closer appears to be well making and a good finish. It comes with a template that was useful. All screws required for the various install combinations are included. The wood mounting screws come a tip that I assumed permits some self taping. I pre-drilled a hole smaller than the screw and let the tap in the screw drive the screw in.

Bought this for a wellsite shack in the oilfield. People in and out of the door all day and everyone just LOVES slamming the door behind them, like it wont close unless you do. I was at the end of my patience. Bought this, installed it easily with the directions, took a bit of time to get the adjustment done correctly but it works perfectly, wont allow anyone to swing it shut, then shuts quietly.

I bought 2 of these units for a project. one of them arrived with the housing broken by one of the mounting holes. Upon inspection, I found that the housing is only about 1/16" thick in this area and makes it quite fragile.
