I get the impression that most of the other reviewers don't know what a slow pitch jigging rod is used for. This rod is made for vertical jigging in deep water. It has the thin, strong blank with a deep bend and slow recovery that you would expect from a slow pitch rod. One of my pictures shows what this rod looks like when you load it up with a 5 pound weight.The rod butt is long and thin compared to normal rods but is just right for slow pitch. I like to prop that butt under my forearm while jigging so I can use my whole arm instead of just my wrist. Upon hookup, I plant the butt under my armpit so I can use my whole upper body to create leverage on a big, strong fish.What this rod is not good for is casting and retrieving lures. That long rod butt that is so helpful with vertical jigging becomes a detriment for more horizontal fishing. That rod but gets in the way of casting and retrieving.Overall, I think this rod is well made with a good blank and quality components. The foregrip fits my hand well and is comfortable. I think this is a very good slow pitch rod for the price.

Product arrived broken because Amazon doesn't know how to package a fishing rod. They bent it to fir into a tv box. Its a real shame because the rod was very lightweight and seemed legit. Not the manufacturers fault just amazon.

It is a great rod, however i don't know about it being great value for the money. It's about on par with the name brands as far as value goes. The sensitivity is great for what I am using the rod for. I am fishing for small freshwater fishes in the ditches, ponds, and wherever I can find a body of water.

I got this for my partner who loves to fish. He wasn't too sure about it at first with it being a two piece rod. He said the two pieces fit firmly together and haven't created any problems while fishing. He is happy with the quality of the rod and sensitivity of feeling a bite while fishing. It has a firm backbone and nice action for a rod of this price range.He said the placement of the reel is a little further up the rod than he prefers, makes the lower section a little long, places the hand further up the rod in turn making it awkward when trying to cast. He started out using it for bass fishing but feels it is a better fit for crappie. Overall he is pretty happy with the rod and is sure it is going to last a very long time.

This rod easily keeps up with more expensive rods! It feels super balanced in the hand and very sensitive too. I like how the rod inserts into the handle and i also like the grip. Overall i would give this a 12/10

UPDATE: After a QC issue was resolved by the seller with a satisfactory outcome, we were able to get this rod out onto the water this past weekend.Used going for flounder on the saltwater backbays of Maryland, this rod did a nice job managing the heavy rigs to keep the bait on the bottom in 30 feet of water. Good action and stiffness for the size fish we were after (and in the event you hooked into a skate or something else along those lines).This 2 piece rod assembles at the top of the handle, so in effect, the top 2/3 is in effect a 1 piece rod. Guides show no QC issues at all and feel very sturdy for this baitcaster.

I like the strength of this Goture 30 Tonnage Rod. The carbon fiber is so compact it feels like metal under the clear coating making it very strong and sensitive at the tip. It is also very quick and efficient to attach a real.This a great durable saltwater pole that with anti-corrosion properties. Great buy!
