solid and portable
I used to just refill those 1 gallon water bottles, but after refilling them so many times they started to degrade, and probably leached a ton of antimony to my water. So I decided to get this water jug, it's made out of HDPE, should be better for storing water, according to google. It's thicker than I thought, feels pretty solid. However, I can't seem to align the faucet to the right position, but thats not a big issue to me. No strong plastic smell, or at least the one I got doesn't smell bad, but I still let it air out for 2 days, then wasted it with vinegar. AND it does feel as bulky as regular 5 gallon water jugs.

Best portable water container for camping and traveling
Our family have many trips this year for camping. After Banff camping trip, we really need a nice water container for cooking water. I found this one fit our need. It is about 5 gallons. The color matches the camping environment. The container shape can save a lot of space in the vehicle. It is easy to carry from the car to the picnic table with the handle. We recently used it for Olympic national park and Canon beach trips. The overall for the shape, color, size, and the plugs worked very well for our family. It is no plastic smell even in the very hot day. We love it so much. Highly recommend.

No Funky Taste
The media could not be loaded. With just under a 4 gallon carry capacity, This water container is great for me. Weight wise, it is sooo much easier to carry than my old 5 gallon jugs. I detected no off taste in the water stored in it, and the spigot works great.I was initially concerned with the shape. Can you even swap the spigot and bottom cap with a full container? Yes. You can see that in my quick and dramatic video. Still, it’s a bit laborious as you have to go into the top lid to get the spigot, then close that and go to the spigot zone to swap. Then back to the top cap for storing the other cap again. Always check for leaks at the caps. These caps have a good seal, but sometimes I have to tighten just a little more. The decision to store the spigot/cap internally inside the top lid is interesting. It keeps the caps from getting lost or broken. Of course, when switching between the two, you’re tempted to dirty your water with the one that was on the outside. There is also a clever slot hole in the side which holds the spigot extender. It is not deep enough for the extender to be flush with the container’s side.Note, before trying this container out, I washed it, let it breathe in the garage for a week, and then did another rinse. It was easy to get my hand in there fit the cleaning as you can see from my pic. I then filled it with water and let it sit for a full month. After gurgling and swirling and chewing like a discerning wine taster I detected NO off taste in my delicious well water.Bonus info: the spigot floats in water. That means, if you were lazy or didn't tighten it enough inside the big cap AND it falls into the water, it is easy to grab without washing your arm in the drinking water. Yay!Additional thoughts: Not everyone is particularly careful when trying to squeeze stuff into the car. And nobody wants to get to their waterless destination to find a half full container with a puddle under their seat. At least we didn't, when it happened to us with my old 5 gallon thing. The funny shape of this water container may keep the bottom cap from getting squashed into the side and creating stress folds during transport.

Jack of All Trades, Master of None
This is a versatile 3.9 gallon water container. Has nice 4.5" diameter access to the top for easy filling and may aid in cleaning the inside. The large top cap also has a small sealable hole than accept a thin hose should you want to hook up one of those small rechargeable pump/faucets.The bottom cap has a small easy to use spigot attachment. This small bottom spout is versatile, can easily be removed, which means over the years it may easily be lost. Should you not need the bottom spigot, there is a solid cap you can use in its place. If you want this at camp to provide drinking water, be aware you may want an insulated water jug, this is not insulated.Should you want to refill your fresh water tanks in your RV or Trailer, this is a poor choice with a small flimsy spout.I am hoping to make use of this at our camp dish washing table alongside two dish pans. I hope to mountour rechargeable outdoor faucet pump and use it to help rinse the dishes in clean water. The instructions for this container note that you do need to air it out and rinse it good before use as it doescome with a funky odor.I like the dimensions and capacity, stands 15" High, about 7.5" wide and 11" deep.If filled to 3.9 gallon capacity should weigh about 32.5 lbs.

Perfect camping kit.
I love it for its low profile, very easy to carry and clean. It also has a built in air-spigot, which allows water to pour against pressure. The water doesn’t taste like plastic. The water jug just fit in my car. It worth my money back .
