These things work great . I have installed about 20 of them. Plug and play for sure.

Versatile, durable and small converter
Great unit to convert SDI to HDMI from camera or onto display. The picture quality is superb and easy plug and play installation. The connectivity is universal and unaffected by resolutions or frame rates, including the SDI loop to the next device. Durable case and small size.

These are Knock off of Blackmagic Design and did not run1080p60 for me
When I found these listed, I thought they were Blackmagic Design units just because of their appearance. I didn't look closely and got fooled. I ordered 4 for a project at our church. They were going in the basement and the source was in the other end of the building in the balcony (2 floors away). The cable run from the source to a real BMD distribution box was about 100-150 feet away so it's well under the 300 ft limit. And each of the distributed lines was under 50 feet. Just imagine the time I spent walking back and forth up and down those two flights of stairs trying to diagnose the problem that wasn't going to get solved until I got rid of these converters. The first one I installed partially worked for a short time (an hour or so) , then intermittently, then not at all. It wouldn't even report an SDI signal with it's LED. I put another one in it's place and got a signal with the same cables, and power supply. Since one had not been installed and one failed so quickly, I returned the unopened one on a return and the bad one on a separate return. I had another one installed but it would not carry audio and video at the same time with any relative setting. I could use Level A output on the source HDMI to SDI converter and get video or I could run Level B output and get audio and a corrupted and green video picture on a recent TV and "not supported" on an older TV. I finally found that the converter would run both video and audio at the same time if the frame rate was 30 or lower but I needed 50 or 60 to satisfy another monitor in the setup. I was using an Orei HDMI splitter that provides two options for EDID data and forcing it to 1080P didn't help. The source was a BMD Atem Mini Pro that can output various frame rates at 1080p including 1080p/29.94, 1080P/30, 1080P50, 1080P59.97, and the ever popular 1080P60. At 30 fps or lower, I could get video and audio on the TVs but the two PC monitors I have available for the Atem Mini pro required 50 or 60. At any frame rate over 30, I could not get good video or any audio at the same time whether I was running at Level A or Level B on the sending converter. So I ordered one authentic Blackmagic design converter to see if that helped. It came in a day early today. I set the source to 1080P6, walked downstairs and swapped out the BMD converter in place of the knock off unit using the same cables and had normal video and audio *at the same time*. Just to satisfy my curiosity, I made the round trip to the source again and changed the sending converter to Level B (which is the normal setting) and the BMD worked just fine with that level too. Someone more familiar with this specific tech or with gear to test the input and output signal may have diagnosed the problem faster, but I spent at least 10 hours trying to make it work and researching possible solutions. If I had bought the real thing in the first place I wouldn't have had all that aggravation.

Works very well!
I only use this in my test lab but so far I have had no issues. Picture quality has been good. Audio seems to work well. The casing seems identical to the name brands and seems to be of good quality. I have no complaints. These are only a little cheaper than the name brand I use, at least at the time of purchase, I will probably stick with the name brand for most production uses.

Handy device on the cheap
This unit passes 3G/HD signals well. I ran a 1080p59.94 signal 100 feet over Belden 1505 coax cable and the converter had no problem processing the video. I powered the box from the USB port of the monitor, which was handy for my application. The unit comes with all the cables you need to get going. The loop through function allowed to to push the signal out another 100 feet to another monitor

Save but donโt sacrifice
This casing of this are durable. They work well in comparison to name brand. Able to tackle large projects on a budget while still maintaining quality of video. This is literally a plug and play setup. This is a fraction of the cost as seems to be reliable.

Black Magic Design is always a winner.
Using network-attached storage (NAS) media with the Blackmagic Design ATEM Micro Extreme ISO and the Blackmagic Design Studio HD Plus eliminates the need for SD card formatting. It ensures a seamless workflow for video production. By connecting the Studio HD Plus directly to a NAS via high-speed Ethernet, recorded footage can be stored directly on the NAS, bypassing the potential compatibility and capacity issues of SD cards. This setup reduces the risk of data corruption and reformatting errors and enables easier access for editing teams and centralized storage management, enhancing efficiency in high-demand production environments.
