Plenty sturdy
222 lbs., need maneuvering support right where this device pokes into the doors latch. Door Assist Handle works just right.Somewhere, instructions said something about The Handle locking into place. Or maybe clicking into place. I don't see anything clicking. That's not a problem; when you're leaning on The Handle, it's not going to slip or go anywhere. When inserted into the door latch, you can make The Handle wiggle a little bit, but it's not a problem. When you're pushing down on it, it's certainly not going to slip out of the door latch.Only problem is that we forget to use it. The door has a storage pocket, which the Door Assist Handle fits into snuggly. Maybe if if were less snuggly, we wouldn't keep forgetting to take it out of the pocket and use it when we get out of the car. Car is a '99 Camry with only 110k miles.Simple, 5 stars.

Wrong handle for a GMC Terraine(2024).
This handle did not work on my GMC Terrain because the door latch was wider at the top near the handle and was not secure for my vehicle. I need to order a different one that is the same size all the way down to the handle.

Works beautifully.
It sure helped when I needed it after tearing the meniscus in my knee. The only thing I would change is I would look for the one that would cut seat belts in an emergency. I no longer need it now that I had my knee replaced but I'll keep it in the car for when I have someone riding with me who might need it. It sure was handy.
