Lots of good info on speakers and drivers, but a lot of useless material (to me)
The book has some great information it it I have found no where else, but at least half of the material is examples of using computer programs to model speaker or driver characteristics - I don't use this software, don't want to use this software, and so this material is just useless to me.You will need to know a bit about audio electronics to make any sense of the materials - so you should already be familiar with terms like decibels (dB), dBv, dBu, etc.A lot of the speaker encloser descriptions were very interesting such as encloser shape baffle materials, and ports. If you want to understand speakers and/or drivers better this book is a good source.

Not for beginners
I found myself asking who this book is written for. I imagine someone steeped in engineering. It does not seem to be written for the neophyte, even with a background in the sciences.A lot of very good information on interesting topics but lacking any pedagogical approach. Often unnecessarily obscure. For example, the “definition“ of the sealed band pass is convoluted only to be followed by a simple and explanatory figure five pages later) Needs editing. The book is full of important but nearly illegible graphs and tables that should be relegated to an appendix. The book itself is constructed so that it is almost impossible to read without physically wrestling with it. The font will make your eyes flicker. All told , could be a useful reference and an aid for learning if it had an index. I think it would benefit from some basic editing and review of its graphics and layout. I think a statement as to who this book is written for and how the author intends it to be used would be ideal. All told , 2 stars. ( no index is unacceptable)

Techniques and tricks for loudspeaker measurements.
I haven't read all the books yet, but I think it's an essential textbook for Loudspeaker.

Not for Beginners - Some Gems for Enthusiasts and Pro's
Warning: This book is not for beginners. Hard core hobbyists or speaker design professionals may find some useful models, empirical studies and references in this book. For the beginner, the minimum vital data needed to design and build a speaker is interwoven in to a jumble of esoteric empirical tests and computer simulations. For the more experienced speaker builder, the depth of this book is great and the footnote references are very complete. While the breadth is great, the depth of technical explanation for fundamental speaker enclosure modeling physics was a lacking. I guess I need to buy another book or research the footnotes myself. This book could be a lot better with some solid editing. The writing - for the most part - is clear, but there are sections that are hard to read and there are some errors. The fonts are too small (many of the subscripts are illegible). The graphics are horrible. The book has over 100 frequency domain plots (developed with speaker CAD packages), which are illegible and poorly labeled. Most of the graphics are nowhere near the text.I give this book two stars because of the breadth and the references, but it's no cookbook. You won't be able to look up a recipe and cook up a speaker.
