Can the lights be turned off while sleeping?

Yes! Find the "DIMMER" button on the panel, then long-press it for 6 seconds, the appliance will go into the sleep mode and all the lights will be off, heating still work on. Long-press for 6 seconds again, it will back to normal mode.
