The Nightmare Before Christmas (Original Motion Picture Soundtrack) [Zoetrope Picture Disc 2 LP]

These records are absolutely beautiful, both in how they look and how they sound. The artwork and vinyl design really capture the spirit of The Nightmare Before Christmas, and it feels like a collector’s piece as much as an album. The sound quality is clear and rich, with every song coming through well on my turntable. It’s been a joy to listen to from start to finish, and it’s the perfect record to play during Halloween or the holiday season. The packaging feels premium and makes it a great gift for any fan of the movie or Tim Burton’s work. I’ve listened to it several times already, and it’s quickly become one of my favorite vinyls to display and play. My girlfriend nearly cried when I gave this to her as a Halloween present. The vinyls are gorgeous, sound great, and the zoetropes are wonderful. You'll see a lot of nonsense about special lighting, certain cameras, apps, etc for revealing zoetrope animation; but let me tell you how I easily took a bunch of b-roll with only my phone (and a tripod, optional). Instructions for Android phones: go to your camera app, enter manual/professional/whatever your phone calls it video mode, dial your "speed" up or down until you see the animation become more and more clear. Once the animation is showing smoothly, the image will probably be very blown out (highlights) or very dark, so proceed to dial your ISO up or down and play with your exposure setting until it's balanced out. If you're using a tripod or some other handsfree stabilizing implement, manually lock your point of focus somewhere toward the center or outer-3rd of the frame and take a couple short test clips to make sure that's where you want it. Fiddle with angles and the aforementioned settings to your desired result. If you're not using a tripod or otherwise, set your focus to auto tracking and tap where you want it, but try to avoid moving toward and away from the platter (smoothly side to side should generally be fine). Some or all of these instructions may work with iPhones, but I cannot personally confirm that. Flash is optional, depending on your situation. Hope that helps! The Nightmare Before Christmas Zoetrope Picture Disc arrived in perfect condition. The sound quality is clear, and the pressing feels solid and well-made. The real standout is the artwork, the design is absolutely beautiful, with vivid detail that makes it as much a display piece as a record. Overall, it’s a high-quality release that looks and sounds exceptional.

There was a few delays BUT the albums look AMAZING!!!! It plays great and words can not describe how awesome the albums look!!! 1000% would recommend for anyone to buy!

Purchased this Vinyl Set a few days ago as a gift for my wife, as she is a huge fan of Nightmare Before Christmas. Pro: - There were no duplicate images on my LP's. Each side had it's own distinct image. (Other Buyers have complained about Duplicate Images...Either I just got lucky, or other buyers simply ended up with a sub-par batch / production run?) - As others mentioned, the Vinyl Records themselves are made of nice thick sturdy vinyl. - The image quality on the Picture Disc LP's is superb and are a visual treat to look at. - For a Picture Disc LP, the sound quality is actually pretty good. It plays a tad on the quieter side, and has a few pops and ticks, but better than I expected. Con: - LP's themselves had some rough edges and some plastic artifacts left over from the creation process. (Especially along the inner portion of each side of the LP, where the album title, etc usually resides) Does not affect sound quality, as it well beyond were your needle will travel. Still, wish the quality was a little cleaner. - Overall Sound Quality is Pretty good, especially for a Picture LP. But, there are still some noticeable pops and ticks every so often, which is a shame for a freshly opened LP. Nothing that ruins the collection as a whole, but if you are an audiophile I suppose it would bother you. - Instead of coming in the usual Cardboard LP sleeve, it arrived in a saddlebag style plastic sleeve....It offers little to no protection, and of course it lacks the album artwork and song titles, etc... I guess I will have to buy blank LP jackets and decorate it myself. Conclusion: All in all, not a bad collectors item. The sound quality is surprisingly good for a Picture Disc LP. There does seem to be some issues with production consistency, as mine has plastic artifacts left over and other buyers complained about image duplicates. Honestly, the only thing that really bothers me is the lack of an LP Jacket / Sleeve. The plastic cover is super cheap and will be something I will replace immediately to better protect these Records. (That, and the plastic saddle bag looks like s***, lol.)
