Paired this with a 6'6 UL TFO panfish 2 rod and strung it with 4lb finesse braid with 6lb fluro leader. Dont hesitate to buy this the shallow spool helps cast 1/64-1/32oz jigs a mile. Smooth drag and was handling slab crappie and bluegill with ease. You cant beat this value for the performance. This is my 4th kastking spinning reel and all have been superb. As far as budget reels go I wouldn't go with any other brand. Im sure this reel could handle big bass. If you are lookin for a ultralight reel pull the trigger and get one of these!
