Quality lock
Quality lock. Reliable and simple to use as long as you remember 4 number sequence.

Very good lock
Great combination lock. Easy to set up as long as you know how to reset the combination later. Instructions do not tell you. Very hard to open without combination. As with regular locks where they can stick a piece of metal down alongside the shaft and open the lock. Very pleased.

Secures Conex type door locking handles
See update below:I purchased this to lock my container box built by Shanghai Baoshan Pacific. My main concern was that the shackle opening would accommodate the locking handles on the box. It does, see picture. This lock will resist bolt cutters. The body seems adequate but does not have the ultra tough feel of more expensive locks. I wonder how long it could withstand a beating attack with a large hammer.Update 10/4/2020In my previous review I wondered how long this lock would last during a hammer attack. I have also wondered about some of the other ways to defeat this lock by holding the shackle, reprogramming while locked etc. First I'll say I was never able to recreate the results listed by other reviewers on the lock I received. Is that due to updated lock design? Don't know.My main reason for updating this review is the brute force attack method of defeating this lock. On 9/8/2020 my property was burned out by a forest fire in California. The lock was still holding the locking bars on the container box, but showed serious sign of heat damage. The thumb wheels were melted out with only slag debris in the tumbler cavity. Wanting into my container box I went to work on. The large hammer method failed to open it. I went to my burned out garden shed and got the rock bar. Jabbed at it dozens of times making very good strikes with the bars pointy end, no luck. Found a leangth of chain with a catch hook. Hooked the chain to the lock and rock bar. Went for the lever pull, zero action. Extended the lever with a 10' stick of unistrut. Just bent the unistrut. Finally flagged down a fire crew. They came down with bolt cutters. They took one look at it and cut off the swivel locking hasp attached to the container box. Huh? Well the lock is still hanging there.Moral of this story is: It does not matter what lock you have if you do not have hardened steel hardware holding it.

Solid lock with flawed directions
This Brinks lock is well made and appears to be vandal and theft resistant, due to the design that includes a shackle that is difficult to access or cut. My only suggestion to the makers of the lock, located in China, is that they correct the Reset Combination instruction #5, which instructs one to "rotate the combination ring counter clockwise " to open the lock. Sorry fellas, it's the opposite. The ring must be rotated CLOCKWISE to open the lock.....ooops.

Very practical!
Why did you pick this product vs others?:These are great! Less keys for me to carry. They will require some graphite treatment 1x a year if these are exposed to rain & the elements.

Don’t buy
Waste of money. Have only used for a couple months and now it won’t close all the way. And my fingers are sore from the poorly designed “handle.” Too late to return unfortunately.

Solid, Reliable Lock
Looks secure to me and operates exactly as expected. The chrome-plated finish adds a nice touch, and the hardened steel shackle gives me confidence in its durability. A great combination padlock for heavy-duty use!

Easy to use
This lock was easy to set up, easy to lock and unlock and fits my shed latch perfectly for locking up. I was concerned that this would be difficult to lock and unlock, but so far it has been very easy to open and close the lock.I tested the ability to reset the code if you forget your combination, long story short, if you forget, better get a new lock and new door/latch, cause this lock isn't budging.
