Helpful!
Doctor recommended raising head of bed as husband had acid reflux that was harming his lungs. We really like that the riser goes under the mattress (seemed like raising the head of bed itself would stress the frame). It seems to be helping both of us sleep better. Down side is it makes the bed taller (we already had a very tall bed). Also, I tend to slide down a bit during the night. Definitely glad we got the 5" rise instead of the 7"--with a higher rise I'd be curled up in a ball at the food of the bed by morning!

Made a difference
It made a noticeable difference on our IKEA bed. The slats are less noticeable

exactly what I was looking for
I purchased this mattress elevator and love it. I currently have a queen mattress on wood slats. Recently the top of my mattress started to sag, not a lot but enough for me to have to sleep on two pillows. I'm a side sleeper and was starting the effects of the pressure going to my head and upper body from my mattresses incline. I'm 50 and a great health but I was waking up with headache and blood shot eyes. I was greeting bloody noses through the day. My neck hurt. I'm 5'5 and 150 pounds. I'm very top heavy at 34 J. Making extra pressure in my neck and shoulders made my pain worse.Since I started using the mattress wedge, all listed problems are gone. I feel completely supported ad at the proper angle. Actual I don't feel the Angle at all. My bed feels perfect and I sleep through the night without waking up in pain.Great product!!

Didnโt work for us
Bought to elevate the head on our Queen mattress in our camper. It elevated too much and the mattress hangs over the platform about 3inches. We seem to slide down while sleeping. Not what I was expecting.

This is a No-Brainer if you Suffer from GERD!
If you have GERD, you need this under your mattress! I have suffered from GERD for several years and have been using a foam wedge pillow on top of the mattress to alleviate symptoms. It has worked for me but I wanted something that would elevate the head of the mattress so I could ditch the extra pillow. This was the answer. I have only slept on it for one night and am already writing this review. I kept waiting for my GERD symptoms to show up last night but they never did. I also did NOT notice the slant of the bed at all. My husband and I both use CPAP machines for apnea and thought this might help with that also. We are in our seventies and did have to have some help positioning our heavy mattress on top of this but it wasn't too hard to do with assistance from a couple of extra people.

Slipping down a mountain
After 2 months of use I realize that my sleep is now interrupted by frequent repositioning. Gravitational pull drags you down to the bottom . Perhaps that is why this might be a good mattress for sleep apnea. It wakes you up every 3 or 4 hours. Soooo unhappy with expensive service. Too late to return now I must get rid of expensive mattress.

Great investment for those with acid reflux difficulties!
The wedge inserted easily enough and I've slept so much better with it, both from the additional mattress support and with the additional head and shoulder height, there is daily relief from reflux burn so common before this purchase. Previously I tried just a short wedge and found found that I slipped off of it, either to the side or below it, and not benefiting from the additional height for my head . Not with the bed-length wedge! There is no place to fall off on the sides and the gradual lift from my feet to my head is perfect. I actually feel as if I were laying almost perfectly flat.I must admit that I have also made major adjustments to my eating habits (no caffeine, wine, spicy foods, etc.), but still have confidence that the wedge has helped tremendously to alleviate my esophageal problems.

This pad is so much better than a wedge pillow
My wife has tried a wedge pillow to reduce her snoring (which it helped greatly), but she tends to slide down and her back and neck would bother her over time. When we saw this pad, we wanted to give it a try in lieu of spending big bucks on an expensive adjustable bed. This pad is exactly as described and does not squish flat under our mattress (we have a queen). We let it sit all day after opening it to allow it time to completely fill out prior to placing it on our bed. I don't care for the look of having my mattress permanently elevated, but it's comfortable and does what we hoped it would, for a fraction of the cost of an adjustable bed. I snore at times myself and it helps reduce my snoring as well.
