total waste of money. i've installed two on each of my toilets as was getting a loud pipe bang when the flapper inside toilet would close. the bang still is present.

Got them and installed today. Once you identified which fixture causes the water hammer, install it on the supply line or lines to that fixture and it will work. How long will it last, we will see.

Just received it today and installed it inline from the water shut-off valve for use on the automatic sensor faucet. Easy to install: 1) Shut off the water valve. 2) Remove water lines. 3) Attach the arrestor to the valve. 4) Attach the water line to the arrestor. After installation, the loud banging noise from the pipes was reduced. Hoping that it continues to work for a while as I saw in another review that it only worked for 2 months.

I installed these in the supply lines for a faucet. One of them worked and stopped the water hammer. The other one did not work at all. I reached out to the manufacturer a week ago about a remedy for the defective water hammer arrestor, but have not heard back yet. I purchased another two hoping that at least one would work and I could finish the faucet. However, neither of the two new ones worked. Poor quality and poor value

I did see the bad reviews on this arrestor, but gave it a try, since it's half the cost of the Sioux Chief equivalent (660-GTR1B). Those previous arrestors lasted about 3 years, which I think is a decent lifespan, given the hardness of the water in this area. The installation was straightforward, and this device did stop the water hammer effect on our cold water supply line for the kitchen sink. I can't give it a 5 star because length of service is important in these devices. If it lasts 2+ years, I'd give it a 5 then.

I purchased four of these water arrestors. The connections on three leaked. After wasting time trying different options to stop the leaks, I threw them away.

Basically didn't do anything. The sound may be slightly less loud than before, but no exactly what I expected.
