Is this bowl oven proof?

it would have been made in an oven / fired and glazed at much higher temperatures than one would traditionally cook at, therefore I suppose yes is the answer, though I have never tried it myself. Are you making a deparate dan cow pie in it?

Is this bowl actually 11 inches? Would love to review this item but it was bought for me as a gift and is actually less than 10 inches! Not happy!

Hi,Yes, it is this item that is advertised as 11 inches but is actually nine and a half inches internal diameter. I had posted a review almost 3 weeks ago which actually had the measurements. I've replaced this review now with an updated version from the account that I actually bought it on (so it can say "Verified Purchase" now). It's a nice bowl but I agree it is a bit disappointing with the size. I am happy with mine though because the design looks good to me and there are not many good-looking mixing bowls of this kind of size below £15. Please write back if you have recommendations for alternatives. Do not take this personally, but on the scale of things that go wrong with internet shopping this really isn't too bad considering that the advertised volume is probably correct. If there was another bowl by another company that was just as good a design/construction etc. and was 10.5 inches and advertised as such, and sold at same price, and I had chosen this 11 inch one because it was bigger, then it would be a different story. In any case, it does no harm to leave a review stating your opinion as it may help others who would be equally disappointed.

I don't know as I haven't got a dishwasher, but I should imagine it is as it is a very strong china bowl. ( and heavy )

It's what it says in the description, 28 cms inside diameter, 29 cms outside.It's a big bowl and quite heavy.
