For the Sketch Pad, are the papers together like a notebook, or are they 50 loose leaf papers?

They are together like notebook

Is this good paper for copic markers

Yes. They are excellent for copic markers, water colors, inks, graphite and color pencils.

Is this flip-top or like a book?

This sketch pad is connected like a book.

How does the smooth finish on this paper compare to the smooth finish on Strathmore Bristol Smooth 100 lb paper?

I purchase this for pressing old comic books. So lbs were my focus. Not sure if this is what youre refering to but upon observation, it is almost identical. I believe the Bristol smooth is a bit better quality finish but you would have to look closely to really notice.
