Worked for a year 2000 genie opener
The installation of these is typically very straightforward. If you’re dealing with a concrete wall, it may take a little more effort or maybe attaching the brackets to the track.In any event, for our stick framed home, it was a breeze. Just mount at the appropriate height and connect the two wires.

This was so easy to install myself. No need to call garage door people who would have charged me at least $97 dollars.

Similar/same product to OEM Genie
I have a 25-30 year old genie garage door opener that I fixed with this. I had to split the wires from the sender (red side) and swap the wires to the inputs so that instead of it going ++ and - - into either terminal, I took wires from each terminal and did +- into one, and +- into the other. This is unique because my old unit runs 2 sets of wires (4 total) instead of just one set (2 wires).To compare, 6 months ago I installed a newer belt drive genie onto the other side of the garage, and the components seem to be the exact same on the outside. Same molding, same words on them. Took a picture of the green to post to the review.
