Best equipment on the planet
I absolutely love the Forest Fundamentals gear! They make the best ferro rods on the planet! I carry one with me in my EDC pack every time I go outdoors for camping or hiking. They make my outdoor activities so much easier

Not the 550 survival cord as advertised!
Another product from FF where the 550 survival cord lanyard is not actually what it is being advertised as! See photo, I opened the end of the cord and there is just six strands of basic nylon inner! No waxed cord, no fishing line, no wire, nothing else. In fact, this Paracord is even cheaper than the one used on the FF tinder pouch which also didn’t have the survival cord as advertised. Not that you could do much with less than a metre of cord anyway but that is beside the point. People often buy things based on features advertised. Forest Fundamentals - Sort out your product description or at least check your product please! The rod and striker both work fine. It’s a nice idea to try and turn the striker into a mini multitool, but the material is just not strong enough for anything other than scraping the rod. You’d be hard pressed to do more than open a bottle with it before it snaps or bends. Overall product impression is not great. Style over substance. There are probably better options out there, or buy the parts yourself and put your own thing together so you know you can rely on them.
