It is a 1/2 inch water line. Note: They do NOT provide a shut off valve on the water line so I recommend installing for a host of reasons. Installation was pretty straightforward. Machine took about 18 hours to make 300 lbs of ice. Each batch takes about 15 minutes. We plan to bag it to reduce wear and tear on the machine. Finally, the machine generates ALOT of heat ...be aware of that when installing in an interior space. After getting it all set up, we discovered we were missing the hardware to attach the door to the front of the machine. We aren't sure if we threw it out with the packaging or if it was missing from the box. We sent an email to Coolski customer service asking if we could purchase replacement parts.
