It is the actual length of the roll. There are different types of Dual Lock, allowing a person to mix and match types allowing for different amounts of adhesion between two devices. As an example, you may want less adhesion for a removable TV remote control mounted to a wall, vs mounting a IP-TV permanently to a surface behind the display. This is doble by mixing and matching Dual Lock products.

Does the adhesive get soft when it warms? I want to use in a window to hang foil/foam insulation. Hook/loop adhesives tend to let go when sun hits it.

It will if exposed to direct sunlight.

Hard to say without knowing the intended application. The construction of the hook and loop is entirely plastic so yes there. The adhesive is very strong however I doubt it would withstand constant submersion. If were talking a bit of rain here or there. I'd bet it would last through a season, depending on the application surface. Make sure its clean and dry and kept dry for a few days until it is "set". Hope that helps
