Friday the 13th, Part VIII: Jason Takes Manhattan Soundtrack

New to collecting vinyl but when a friend showed me this I had to seek it out. Guilty pleasure or not, this is one of my favorite Friday films and it felt wrong not to own this one. Sadly, Waxwork Records and the rest of the internet is sold out of it and I am not sure if it will ever be released again or not. That being said, I was willing to pay a little over sticker price to be able to get it, which is what I had to do on Amazon. While a bit marked up, the convenience and actual availability made up for it.The artwork and packaging is stellar and would be fun for any fans of the films or collectors of LPs to add to their collection.The soundtrack may not be quite as iconic for part 8 as some of the earlier movies due to the absence of Manfredini, however it is a great piece of music and the Darkest Side of the Night track from the beginning of the film (which is the very last track of the album) is a personal favorite to jam out to when I wanna feel nostalgic.Great edition and thanks for Waxwork Records for making these great collectors items which truly appeal to fans of these movies like myself!**Also, the listing said this was a single disc version of this album. I am unsure if this was a typo or if I received a different version, but I received the two LP version with the toxic waste first disc and Flying V pink second disc.

Well I'm happy this terrific album arrived ahead of schedule but unfortunately once I carefully removed it from the plastic wrap there appears to be a tear in the binding caused by the album itself from the inside out. Its heart breaking considering the amount of money I paid.
