We don't play a ton of poker, but have hosted several small poker nights at our house with make-shift poker tables comprised of craft felt and printed cards that help the less experienced players remember hands and understand what-beats-what. It was workable, if not a bit cluttered on the tables.Finding this poker mat sends all my DIY solutions down the river with its large, well-printed, and professional-looking surface. It truly ups the game.This heavy, nonslip, neoprene mat has everything you need for you next poker night and many poker nights to come. I was first impressed by its exceptional construction: thick, durable material; solid, reinforced stitching; exceptional play surface with odds, rules, hands, etc.; easy-to-roll non-deforming material. Everything about this mat screams that it's ready for play.And as a casual player, I next noticed - and greatly appreciated - the information and layout of the mat. As previously mentioned, I find the cheat sheet super handy as it eliminates the need for my printed cards that clutter the table. But beyond that, I actually like that there are no pre-printed player positions on the mat making it a little more flexible, in my opinion, to squeeze in players that might otherwise feel left out if there isn't a defined space for them. I got the larger mat which will easily accommodate 6-8 players, but I can easily see us squeezing in 10 if we had to.Unpacking the mat, there is a bit a noticeable smell from the neoprene. It out gasses within a few hours and the smell is nowhere near overwhelming. Having grown-up around surfing and wetsuits, it's a very familiar smell and not at all bothersome. Just let it air out for a little bit. The mat comes with a storage case - not the best quality, but workable. I did appreciate that a heavy cardboard tube is included to help roll and pack the mat making it easy to store when not in use.In my opinion, if you play any amount of poker - from casual to serious, this mat is going to be as essential as your cards and chips. Win or lose, you're going to appreciate it on every flop, turn, and river. Highly recommend.

We already had a poker mat for family poker and game nights, but I had to jump on this one. The reason is the layout and graphics. Our kids are just learning the game of poker, and having graphics of hand rankings, basic poker strategy, and rules that they can reference is beneficial. Our other mat is only a plain green.The mat itself fits our kitchen table well. It is durable and easy to clean. The best part is the non-sliding material on the bottom, preventing it from sliding around. Compared to our other mat, this one is a little thinner, but not a noteworthy difference. It comes with a travel bag for convenient storage.With all the options on the market these days, this mat is perfect for beginners. However, I don't think you can go wrong with it if your an advance player or just want a mat for game nights.

This thing is AMAZING! The quality, it’s cost, and just how versatile and durable it is. Great buy! I got the biggest one they had and honestly I’m glad I did. The fact that it can go anywhere with ease it’s a steal in itself. So I’ve got a big dinning room table that it fits on no problem and if i decide hey I wanna play at the lake or something or someone else’s house that doesn’t have a huge table I have one of those 7ft plastic folding tables and it fits that perfectly. It’s water resistant so if u happen to spill a beer or something it literally just sits on top and u can easily soak up the spill with a rag or tissue or even brush it off the edge of the table. Then it shows u the poker hands that beat what, it breaks down what percentages and equity to help teach those that don’t really know the game so it’s just a great purchase. Cards slide fairly well not as great as they would on a felt table but with all the benefits of this buy this is a great purchase and definitely something anyone who actually plays poker would not only enjoy but really appreciate just how great of an item this is. 10/10

I get invited to play poker from time to time with friends and coworkers. To be honest, I have no idea what I am doing. I got the basics down for the most part, I know a pair beats a single, but what is the hierarchy after a full house, I'm not 100% sure. This mat does a great job of helping anyone looking to start a poker night, but would like more direction on how to win. There is a ton of information available, so it gives you an idea of what the odds for each winning combination and much more. Overall, I totally recommend this for anyone new or wanting to up their game by understanding hand probabilities. Or if you are an expert, but your spouse is nagging you to include an in-law who has no clue to play, this would be a good way to prompt them to read some info on the game as they try to bluff with a high card.

I find this to be almost perfect for our family. We've been recommended to play poker with the kids to help them practice some social skills that aren't coming "naturally" to them, so I got this so we'd have something to play on that always had the hands and such right there in front of everybody.For the most part the mat is very clear and easy to use, but some of the text and card pictures are fuzzy and blurred. Still legible, mostly, but still hard to read at times. If the text and images were all much sharper and universally easy to read this would be perfect for us.As it is, the mat is a very nice quality material. It's heavy enough to lay out flat quickly after being stored rolled up and stay flat during play. The underside is rubberized like a lot of mouse pads so it doesn't move around on a table freely.Certainly a very nice item to have for people still learning the ropes on what hands are the best and even has some odds statistics - though I find those are a bit distracting and less helpful for us newer and more casual players.
