As soon as I open the can, he gets excited and starts purring loudly. The combination of chicken and lamb seems to be a perfect match for his taste buds. I appreciate the high-quality ingredients and the fact that it's grain-free, which is better for his overall health. It's been a relief to find a food that he not only enjoys but also thrives on. My cat really likes these canned food. My cat has hyperthryoid issue and is on medication for it. Usually with hyperthyroid, kidney issues come with it or at least follows it. He currently doesn't have CKD yet but it is coming soon, so I have already started feeding him low-phosphorous diet (non-prescription) to slow any CKD issues. Not all B.F.F. canned cat food is low-phosphorous - I know Topsy-Turvy and Checkmate are between 0.7-0.8 (and as for reference, average canned cat food range from 1.0-1.7). Since cats do not like eating the same things everyday, I switch between Topsy-Turvy and Checkmate and that seems to keep my cat interested in eating (he lost a lot of weight with him being hyperthyroid, so I have to keep him interested in food). This line is supposed to be a pate consistency but sometimes the cans are more watery than a pate should be and other times, it is normal pate; but my cat isn't too bothered. I do add water to my cat's food bowl, just to get more water in him to make it easier on the kidneys.

While advertised as a 'pate', this is more of a finely minced food in a nice, juicy liquid! This is great food; I only feed chicken to my cats and they love this. I leave the empty can on the floor for a few minutes after the feedings, and both boys compete for who gets to lick the can clean! These are the 5.5oz cans, and the flip lids always work well.

I have 3 cats, 2 Maine Coon and the other is a Siberian Snow Cat. They love this food. When I open the cabinet, no matter how quiet I try to be they all come in the kitchen and are ready for breakfast.
