Most protein powders are just protein. I like that Kachava has a lot of vitamins and minerals to make it a meal replacement. I like the vanilla flavor but don't want to try the others because I've heard they can be hit or miss. I drink these each morning. I usually add a little freeze dried kale powder from Koyah to get a little more antioxidants. I ADD in some PSYLLIUM HUSK POWDER. Just 2 tsp will give the Kachava beverage a better consistency and also a little fiber. I don't add more than that, though, because I'll taste it if I do. . But otherwise, they are complete. Perfect for when I'm in a hurry or if I don't feel well.

I like everything about this product. Like that I’m getting a nutritious meal substitute that tastes good and has so much protein. I’m 74 and really don’t like meat and was finding myself tired and lacking energy. I started using this product a few months back and fairly quickly started feeling better and had more energy. Since I’m not a Dr it could be all a coincidence but if so, I hope it continues! I like that it’s so easy and fast to mix. I take it on vacation with me along with my immersion blender and a cup - perfect! I saw one review that gave it a one star and said that some of the ingredients were controversial and very dangerous, yet she didn’t say what they were. Also said the chocolate was thick and tasted awful. I haven’t tried the chocolate but that’s not true of the vanilla. This past summer I cut up fresh peaches and froze them and then blended them in with the vanilla. It was beyond delicious. I imagine most fruits would be good but I like it plain just blended with ice and water too. It is a bit pricey but if you compare it to the cost of a meal, it is very comparable. In fact much cheaper than eating out, especially fast/junk food. And so much better for you! I recommend this product.

My appetite has suddenly taken a dip and I knew I needed something to nourish myself since I would go over a day without eating at a time. I’ve never really tried any meal replacement shakes before but I know they tend to be chalky and taste bad so I was a little nervous about this. But, it’s delicious and has the same consistency as a milkshake plus it’s so quick and easy to make. Will definitely be buying this flavor again <3

I love this stuff. It mixes well and isn’t lumpy. It can be a lil thick if you mix it with any kinda milk or milk alternative but I just use a couple oz more and it’s thin. It’s not packed full of sugar and it’s got enough protein to keep me full and it tastes awesome. As someone with a terrible appetite, this is a life saver, literally. I hated always relying on protein shakes that only half work as a meal. Ka’chava nails it.

An oncologist recommended this as a "clean ingredient" shake to help gain weight after an illness. I prefer the vanilla but the strawberry is not bad and the two can be combined. Mixed with water it's pretty good but, to get the extra calories, fat, enzymes and beneficial bacteria, I mix it with raw whole milk which makes the taste and texture really excellent. Very appealing for those whose appetite is lacking but not so filling that it precludes eating regular meals as well.

The taste is terrible. Caulky even when mixed with milk. Infact mixing it with anything just ruins that thing. I even tried blending it with fruit, ice cream and ice cream with fruit. Absolutely awful. As far as a meal replacement goes. Absolutely not. I get much further on 2 slices of toast with peanut butter and fruit. Total waste of money. I have 2 packets left and they will be thrown away.

Update: After looking at things more closely and what they are calling a "serving", I realize the price is even worse than I thought at first. I'll leave the rest of my review because I stand behind it tasting great and mixing well but I think this price is just borderline absurd and I'm dropping some stars for it. What they're calling a serving is nearly half the calories of most products in this category I've tried. You'd need two "servings" for a typical lunch I'd say. Which makes this 10+ dollars for what I'd consider a real serving. Assuming you're using this as a meal replacement, that doesn't feel like a good value to me at all. I've been occasionally using meal replacement shakes/drinks for years. Mostly Soylent, but I've tried almost all of the well known ones. In my opinion, this is the best tasting one. It mixes easily, results in a very smooth shake and the flavor is excellent. There is a small catch to that though. One thing I do like about soylent (now my second favorite, or tied for first with this) is how neutral it is. That makes it easier to "not get tired of it". Either from being fairly neutral, or being easy to add things to tweak its flavor. You probably won't be doing that to these. I don't consider this a bad thing, but maybe important to know for anyone else coming from soylent. The price is a bit steep in my opinion. Depending on how you look at it, at least. You won't get a "real meal" any cheaper I don't think, but it costs more than any other meal replacement type drink I've had. Maybe that's fair because its also the best tasting. I don't think this will be my first go to through because of the price. I'll just throw it in to my rotation here and there.
