I bought my first one and my second one a week later because I KNEW after receiving it, I wanted a back-up. It's so soft. It's luxury. It came with a warning that sometimes they smell at first, due to shipping, and should be washed in cold water and dried in a dryer with NO heat. Do NOT do this. Mine didn't smell at all. I traveled with mine the first week and it came back smelling like it traveled. I followed the directions and washed it ... the texture just changed. (PLEASE, just have the blanket dry cleaned for it's best protection), In my best description, it went from feeling like petting a long haired puppy to petting a wolf. This was why I bought the second. If it didn't work... back-up. It has a bit of weight, which is soothing. I highly recommend this blanket to anyone.
