Material seems like good quality. It’s round and the seam is hardly noticeable. Used for making fluffy “Japanese pancakes” and it kept all the batter inside (bottom was flat.) Easy to clean. Would recommend

I'd seen this type of cake pan on baking shows,most notably the Great British Baking Show. I liked the 3 inch depth first of all.Then,having one product for most any size cake was interesting, and much cheaper than buying multiple sizes of pans.Since there is no "bottom" you place the mold on a sheet or cookie pan. That becomes your bottom.The clip holds the pan at the circumference you want. Whether you use a liner or not probably depends on your recipe or preference.The first cake I made in this was Queen Elizabeth's Chocolate Biscuit Cake. I saw it used in Chef McGrady's how-to video and had to try it!It worked well! It isn't a baked cake, it is an assembled cake, but I had no leaking of melted chocolate, the only liquid in rhe recipe.I think as long as my sheet pan base has no warping it should be fine.I like that this mold can be used for so many other recipes: ice cream or other frozen dishes, even gelled recipes or a mousse in a main course. Use your imagination!It was very easy to clean, pretty much rinsed clean and can store nested inside your other cake pans.If you think you'd like the depth and size versatility it offers,give it a try.

Great product, works well. Would have given 5 stars, but brand name is misleading as this item is made in China, not California.

Finally I found one with adjustable diameyer and very good quality! Good for forming salads, not baking-cakes, souffle etc.

Does the job. I am able to make my cakes all different sizes.

I found that I had to adjust this cake ring to be smaller than the default size to get it to be 6 inches in diameter which causes a bit of a headache when trying to make a 6 inch cake. Taping together a mold to keep it together when making a cake is not the stress you want. Otherwise works well.

Doesn’t form a complete even circle so can’t use this form to cut a true circle. Use another source to cut circle and then this is a great form to build your napoleon with.

I like the quality of this form. Doesn’t have sharp edges also easy to clean.

Amazing adjustable cake ring!I used this ring to build cake layer so at the end the whole cake is straight and with perfect edges. Love how sturdy it is. Perfect for my cake needs and you can even bake in it

The mechanism to enlarge cake ring is easy to use. Great for layered cakes, jelly cakes & French gateau’s.Love it.
