How to Play Go: A Beginners to Expert Guide to Learn The Game of Go: An Instructional Book to Learning the Rules, Go Board, and Art of The Game (Card Games for Beginners)

A simple and straighforward book of "GO" instructions, Thank You. However, when a 10 year old Grandson is reading the book and CORRECTING his Grandpa, it can be just a bit disconcerting. Of course, we want our Children and Grand Children to prosper Better than we have. I take Benjamin's insight into the the game of "GO" with great pleasure.

A nice, inexpensive introduction to the game of Go. Would have been nicer if it had more informationon the strategy of the game.

I am very happy to find a book on the game of go for English speakers. This is traditionally an Asian game but has gained much interest lately in the West. I have been interested in finding a go board and learning to play. Now I have the how to book so now its time to find a good board set I like! The book was shipped and arrived within the time frame expected and in excellent condition.

This book is somewhat entertaining, but there are NO graphics to show the suggested moves. I assume the author wanted the reader to form a mental picture, but I found it distracting and had to go back and read over the text again to understand what he was talking about. They say a picture is worth a thousand words and this kind of proves that point. I'm trying to learn how to play GO but didn't find this book to be a lot of help.

Very happy with my purchase, the instructions are really clear and easy to understand. If you enjoy the game and want to become a better player or want to learn how to play, I would definitely recommend this book.

There should be pictures accompanying the plays described in this book. It can hardly be called a book--its maybe 10 pages long. Without pictures, I couldn't visualize the plays. Because the author does not have a good grasp of English, the descriptions don't always make sense. Bummer of a purchase.

The above says it all. Worth while for the beginner... I would buy it again. I think that if you need to understand the basics, with this book you can not Go wrong :)...

good basic book - easy to carry with you as a quick reference

This is 35 page book with only text and no illustration. Only basic rules are clearly described; others are not clearly explained. There are also lot of typos in the book. We can get much more clear information freely from the websites and YouTube videos. The value of this book is less than one dollar. DON'T BUY

How can you write a book on how to play GO without a single picture or diagram? The small number of brief pages hasn't even been checked for spelling or grammar - I doubt whether the author spent more than about half an hour producing this book. If only I'd read the reviews! The only good thing is it made me see which books on GO others were recommending and I have now bought 'GO a complete introduction to the game' by Cho Chikun, which I do recommend!

This book is only a few pages long, has no images and could probably be generated (chatgpt 30 min). This does not even get you to beginner, rather than expert. Title seems like a scam. But it was acceptable to read.

This book does not explain concepts very well and lacks any illustrations

No diagrams. Is for beginners not experienced players. Big text, easy to read, but the lack of diagrams would make it confusing for beginners. (Unless they play it out on the board) Several spelling errors.
