Smooth, not too sweet, delicious flavour, easy to spread, a favourite of ours. Goes well with toast, scones, teacakes. Arrived well packaged, on time.

Top-quality French marrons
Liked the rapid delivery by Prime! Pleased that this traditional French product was available in UK. However, there was no information on the Amazon website about the ingredients. It should have been possible to see whether the product was sweetened or not. As it happened, it turned out to be very sweet - but luckily suited my chocolate log recipe. It would not have been appropriate for use in a savoury dish though. Better product information please!

Good quality
Used to make Buche de Noel, had once in France, but to buy in uk £40 a cake, so made my own for £10, better than traditional chocolate log. left over will use in yoghurt. Not very sweet and good hint of chestnuts. It is expensive but only buy once a yr.

Not chestnut purée
Thpught was buying chestnut purée to make chestnut stuffing for Christmas. Just opened, is semi liquid , over 40% sugar plus other stuff such as marrow jam. Looking more closely says ,chestnut spread but ptobably too runny for that even and so sweet it's horrible.
