Works well
I was a bit nervous given some of the reviews. The packaging was fine and everything was in the box. I had expected some assembly but it came all assembled. Nothing looked out of place or damaged.Used it on my 68 Triumph and it is fine. It might touch the exhaust just on one side but only just. Would be able to slot a bit of plywood in if it had been a problem. Seems very sturdy. I left the bike on it for a week whilst I was getting a front tyre changed. Need a suitable socket (19mm I think but not sure). Will be very useful as my bike doesn't have a centre stand. Have also bought a full bike lift/bench and this Pad Lift will be a useful addition to that.

Best Kit, I have purchased for my Motorcycle Tool Shed
I love working on my bikes, and Wish I had bought this years ago.Postive -- No more back breaking leaning over the bike.Very Stable.Fits most Bikes (not had an issue with 5 of the bikes in my family) Odd Exhaust pipes could be an issue.Packs away nicely when not in use.Very smooth lifting and dropping action.Cons -- No hand crank, Need a large socket and wrench (or airgun in my case)Definately Recomend

Steady and safe
Works well for the size. My Kawasaki Vulcan 1600 Classic was fairly steady while I pulled the front and rear wheels off. I did, however, put a bottle jack under the rear trailing arm to balance it after raising with the liftmaster

Can't go wrong.
I bought this to lift my Honda CRF250L which (with accessories and fuel) weighs about 150kg.It effortlessly and smoothly lifts the bike and could easily lift more.To raise the lift you connect socket set (with a 22mm socket if i recall) on one side and wind it up.It's very stable in use - although I lift the bike so 1 wheel remains touching the floor for added stability. The best thing about this is it winds down flat (2 inches high) when not in use, so easily stored. The reason I specifically chose this is because my bike has not much ground clearance from the engine and so most MX stands /lifts wouldn't fit under my bike. This one is perfect and also looks to be hard wearing and durable.Highly recommended.

It's a good tool
It lifted my electric mobility scooter so I could clean and change the wheels.

OK for the money but has arrived broken also...NOW GOOD!
OK for £71 delivered but it arrived packed only in a slim box with no padding. Once opened I discovered that one of the upper ball bearings had shattered. Also on raising it I discovered that one end sits 6 mm higher than the other i.e. it is not level. Viewed from the side the platform is on an obvious slope. Note I have allowed for the broken rear bearing in this measurement. I am returning the unit and will see what condition the replacement arrives in. I'm guessing that the 4 bearings may be cheap Chinese pattern parts (though note I have not checked) and as a professional engineer I'm not going to be happy until I have fitted quality bearings on the replacement lift. Certainly I'm not putting my precious bike on it until I'm satisfied. Depending on how out of alignment the replacement is I can rectify the slope by a combination of slightly larger O/D bearings and careful radiussing of the pivot holes at the other end. So as said I'm happy with what I get in basic terms but expecting to put a few more quid and a little bit of effort into it to make it perfect.OK so a few days later Yodel has taken the broken one back to Amazon and they have received it. Smooth service. The replacement has arrived and it is perfect because the three things that I didn't like are good on this one, namely:The 4 bearings on the replacement are all intact. One of the original supports was welded a bit squint, the replacement jack is perfect in this respect.Better still, when raised and loaded the jack is spot on level end to end to within a millimetre. Brilliant! So if you get one and check these items I originally found fault with and they are good then particularly for the money I raised it from 3 stars to 5.

Very sturdy and reliable.
The lift is very sturdy and well made. It is easy to use and supports and lifts my heavy Classic Triumph motorcycle with ease and keeps the machine steady while on the workbench lift. Although I always strap the machine down for safety while on the workbench.
