Dupli-ColorERF129 Rust Fix Rust Treatment - 10.25 oz., Black

Used Rust Fix on an outside generator cabinet and bilco basement door. Removed as much rust as I could, cleans the surfaces and applied the product. A day later, I top coated the cabinet and the bilco basement door. It has been over a year and the two surfaces remain clear of rust. I'm pleased with the product and just used it on a mower under carriage today. That will be the ultimate test. Definitely worth the money. I'm buying another can today.

I have an old clunker and after hail blasted off huge chunks of paint I bought this to keep the trunk from rusting through. Seems to have worked, I don't really think the rust got any worse. The trunk is definitely still intact after about seven years. I would use the same bottle and re-coat the thing maybe once a year, maybe less. Not in a serious way, just wire brush it a a few minutes and put on a new coat. Took five minutes. Probably worked a little harder on the first coat seven years ago.

These cans of rust fix are above what my expectations were. I am glad I listened to the guy and the truck offroad performance shop. He said that the shop has used it for years!

This Dupli-Color Rust Fix worked well for converting the light rust scale that remained on some auto body panels after initial cleanup with a grinder and wire wheel. It turned the rust into a black coating that took lacquer based automotive primer/sealer without issue the next day. I also used it for a couple of minor rust spots on my trucks frame where the undercoating had been worn through, after the same type of initial prep with a wire wheel. Overall the product seems to do what is was supposed to, so I'm happy with it and would purchase again if needed.

This stuff works excellent and adheres great. Turn rust into paint, then undercoat after dried for durable long lasting finish.

This stuff is absolutely the best. Prepare the surface by getting rid of loose rust or other material like mud. Spray the area with this product. It comes out clear but the rusted area soon turns dark and becomes a paintable surface. It stops the rust from spreading any further. Quick and easy to use.

Used this for the rust on the tailgate of my truck. Within a day the rust had gone away and it changed to a cured black surface. Highly recommend for rust that can be easily covered up.

Really wanted this because I was told it worked well by a friend, so I bought via Amazon due to convenience. Shook it very well and then started applying. The spray started, but it was clear for about 30 seconds, then it turned black and sprayed for less than 10 seconds and it stopped. Now since I bought it in advance of using it, I have no recourse to return and will have to purchase again locally.
