The shears are great, they come sharp--but I recommend getting them sharpened before use just incase there is a protective shipping coating on the blades. I bought finger rings to help better hold my shears, but they are perfect! They aren't too lightweight or heavy, which helps me avoid hand fatigue while grooming. The set is the way to go!
