So good at hogging out larger bowls or scoops. It can also be used to shape a.chair seat if that's a project in your future. It feels good in the hand and moves material surprisingly well. Beavercraft have a good one here.

My husband has been wanting one of these for ages, he has the matching axe. I got it for Xmas for him and he is very happy . He is looking for wood to play with it now! He loves carving spoons and he says this will be wonderful for that.

This would have been perfect if it was sharper. Otherwise, it is sturdy, well shaped and good size for the project. I really wish they would sharpen these type items well before shipping.

Very good quality tool. Comes razor sharp and the edge holds up to consistent use so far. I purchased this to scallop out siding for a custom job and have only needed to touch up the blade once. Better than expected

This item doesn't hold an edge at all. It came so not. true and didn't cut brand new and after sharpness, the alignment of the edge when the adze strikes the bowl of the wood to hollow is not precise and it's all over the place. I know when a company tries to save on labor to keep the cost down. However, this tool is just useless. I hope Beavercraft would at least true up the adze and it's edge to land the strike directly where the edge is the. most efficient and leave the sharpening to the users if they want to do it that way. However, unfortunately, this tool will end up as a decoration and not being used. I'd recommed to save up money and try to buy something else like Pfeil Swiss Made or some other tools like a gouge to do the job of this useless tool.

Ich habe erst vor kurzem angefangen mit Schnitzen und bin sehr begeistert von Gegenständen die man auch benutzten kann. Daher wollte ich mich ans Schüsselschnitzen wagen. Da ich schon einige Werkzeuge von BeaverCraft habe, lag es nahe eine Dechsel von dieser Marke zu kaufen. Ich muss sagen, sie hält wS sie verspricht und ist auch als Frau gut zu händeln. Ein bisschen nachschärfen sollte man sie schon, wobei ich sie sofort für Kirschholz genutzt habe. Weichholz sollte damit aus der Packung heraus funktionieren. Gut verarbeitet, mit Lederschutz und Tragering! 5 Sterne!
