If you have ever heard someone describe a PAF as ‘flute-like’ - then that’s the Alnico II working its magic. Review: Great Bang for Buck PAF pickup - I have bought a few different Tonerider p/ups and all are good sounding at a very reasonable price. I put this on my Gibby LP and it sounded surprisingly bright but enough low end to give a balanced tone. Soundwise quite similar to a real PAF and at around 35quid a steal. If you consider SD and other high end makes charge almost 2 x as much these are great at this price bracket.
