SmallRig Lightweight NATO Top Handle for DSLR Camera Cage - 4345

I’ve been using the SmallRig Lightweight NATO Top Handle (4345) with my Panasonic S5 II and SmallRig cage, and it has been a great addition to my setup. It makes handheld shooting much easier, especially for low-angle shots and when moving around during church productions. The quick-release NATO system is one of my favorite features — I can slide it on and off quickly without tools, which makes switching setups fast and convenient. The handle is very lightweight but still strong, easily supporting my fully rigged camera without any flex or issues. The grip is comfortable and secure, thanks to the silicone design, so I can hold the camera for long periods without fatigue. I also like the multiple mounting options — the built-in cold shoes and threaded holes make it easy to attach a microphone, monitor, or light directly to the handle. Build quality is solid, and it feels like it’s built to last. Even with regular use, everything stays tight and secure, and the handle still looks and performs like new. Overall, this is a simple, reliable, and very practical upgrade for any cage setup. If you’re running a Panasonic S5 II or similar rig, this top handle is a great addition for better control and flexibility.

There couldn't be a better attachment for the smallrig camera cage than the NATO handle. I use this attachment all the time and I absolutely love it. A heavy duty yet lightweight aluminum design is durable for heavy use. The handle itself provides so much versatility for different shooting styles. It increases stability when performing low shots, high shots, and is ideal for quick movements. The handle helps with balancing out your camera rig as well making it easier to carry and use for longer periods of time. The handle also includes a cold shoe mount which is ideal for mounting a myriad of different accessories. I typically mount my shotgun microphone to the cold shoe mount. It just works really well where it's positioned. I could see a small video light being great for this location as well. Having a NATO top handle like this one really opens up some creative doors in the sense of different shooting styles. It gives you the ability to hold your camera rig in different ways and allows you to get unique angles that you otherwise couldn't get without it. I always talk about the quality and durability of Smallrigs products and the NATO top handle doesn't fall short. It's a great design and fits well in the hand and above all, it's comfortable to use. Easy installation ✔️ Feels premium and sturdy ✔️ This top handle gives me even more control and stability when I'm recording video with my Sony A6700. For the price I was able to get this at, I feel that I got an incredible value because this product accomplishes exactly what I need it to accomplish. This top handle is compatible with my small rig cage and fits perfectly providing me with great stability. Overall, this is a must have and gives you plenty of options to add on more tools later on down the road!

Very pleased with this small rig. I have an old DSLR and used it to capture some family reunion photos and videos. I used the rig to carry my phone and flash. It was very functional as I used it with both accessories at the same time. It was durable and easy to grip when carrying the camera vs having the camera strap around my neck for hours.

Well built. Easy to get on and off thanks to the Nato rail. Great value and fits my hand perfectly. Combined with a cage it gives you multiple mounting options and adjustments.

This handle does its job well. It’s solid, well built, and feels good when holding the camera. The size is compact and lightweight, which is great if you want to keep your setup small. Just keep in mind that you’ll need the proper adapter to mount it. Without it, you won’t be able to install it, so make sure you have that beforehand. The quality is good overall, and while accessories like this can be a bit pricey, this one feels worth it.

Very sturdy and lightweight, was a life saver when it came down to holding heavy equipment. The grip on it is very firm and everything was great down to the price.
