Chocolate covered twinkie ding dongs

I picked these up at local big chain store. I opened them up, & they had a funny smell. I did eat it & unfortunately, they weren't that good. After few days, they still had some funky smell. I did eat a few more. I eventually just threw them out. Hostess, just bring back the Chocodiles.
