Where do I even begin? I've been missing these all my life and never knew it. Wow! My first salty licorice salmiakki and I'm just blown away. Always loved licorice so when I heard of these I had to try. I saw someone in the reivews here on amazon had a tattoo of this brand and figured, that's as good an endorsement as I'm likely to find. I already know I need the big bag. First, they smell amazing. The smell reminds me of something but I can't place it. Very familiar though. Maybe like maple syrup candy? The taste is beautiful. Strong licorice flavor and complex notes from the other ingredients that just blend so perfectly together. It's so complex and interesting with a touch of sourness then a bitter note in the middle. They finish with a hint of something caramel-like then end on a beautiful smoothness. The texture is really very nice too. I enjoy the texture a lot as well. Then your head is filled with licorice and little teases of ammonia while it fades. *Chef's kiss* I had other people in the house try these and they couldn't even finish one. I can't imagine not loving these. I don't think I have any nordic blood but these seem to be made for my palette. I don't know how someone could not like this stuff but these wil be a staple around my house now. Huge fan, wow!!!

Love, love this stuff!!!. Found this about a year ago and have ordered it quite a bit since then, really to often but what you gonna do?gotta feed an addiction and this product does it quite well. It's always soft and has a nice smooth flavor. I'd, and did i mention it's really good? Try it, you won't be disappointed

I love good licorice. I like just about any licorice that is fresh and soft. But most of the stuff I find in the grocery store may be fresh and soft, but it is just wheat and sugar. Not good for me. I have tried a lot of different kinds of Licorice on line. Almost everything I have bought on line, would have been very good if it wasn't old stale and hard. This was the first licorice I have purchased on line that had good ingredients. It had real licorice in it and I don't think it had wheat. It was fresh and soft. I really liked the taste of this. It is a salted licorice, which I like. It had an unusual flavor besides the salt, that I really liked. It was very different than any licorice I have had. For now, it is my favorite licorice in the world. It is hard to compare because it is so different. But I love it and I will get more. It will be my new bad habit.

Mm mm mmmmmm, this is delicious. Soft, chewy, liquorice forward flavor, slightly salty flavor. Very good good stuff

I have loved salty spicy salmiak licorice since I was a child. I have tried many, many licorice candies from all over the world and now this is my favorite!! It has a very unusual taste when you first put it in your mouth, different from any other licorice I have had, but I very quickly really liked the taste and now I'm shocked at how amazing this tastes. I generally eat a 2-4 licorice starfish (Gustaf, Salt Dusted Licorice Starfish) in the evening while reading, ie late night snack :) These and the Fazer Original Tyrkisk Peber are my other favorites. I also like the double salt coins and almost any other licorice candy that does not contain anise. By licorice I mean real licorice candy not the nasty fruity flavored crap that's called licorice in the US. So after ordering one bag and receiving it 4 days ago I have now ordered 4 more bags!! This is just amazing candy! My only negative is it could use a bit more ammonia, but what it lacks in ammonia it makes up for in great licorice taste!!

Most of my salty licorice experience is with harder varieties like coins, so I was expecting something bendable but not actually soft. I was pleasantly surprised by the softness, which is something closer to American licorice or even a gummy candy. The texture is nice and makes the candies seem freshly-made. While softness was a nice, the flavor is the star. The licorice flavor is rich, with hints of molasses, and the salmiak is quiet present but not overwhelming. The licorice flavor is the foundation and the salmiak is the rider. All-in-all, a very good licorice, especially for the price. I think these would make good introductory salty licorice for newcomers, as the texture is very inviting and the flavors are strong but not extremely intense. Note: Though I consider these 5/5, one potential knock I can think of is that the ingredients are on the processed/manufactured side. If you are looking for something pure and simple, these might not be great. Also they contain gluten.

I love licorice and tried this out of curiosity. I guess it’s a matter of personal taste. Definitely not mine.

Too salty for me so I rinse the salt coating off but really not to my taste.

Heksehyl (literally "witches screams") has been one of my favourite salted liquorice sweets since I was a kid, and this has rekindled my addiction (I've just placed my 4th or 5th order in the course of a few weeks). For someone used to sweet liquorice, this is one of the gentler introductions you can get to salted liquorice. It consists of a thin tube of very mild liquorice dusted with sugar, filled with a firm brown filling that is a mix of very soft liquorice and ammonium chloride - like salt, but with more of a kick (and the perceptive may recognise it as an industrial cleaning agent - it's true, but it's also an essential ingredient in a lot of Nordic and Dutch liquorice sweets) Heksehyl is very distinct and if you enjoy it, chances are you'll go through the whole bag way too fast. As a bonus, if you have weak teeth, these are soft enough for just about anyone.

OMG! These are PERFECTION! Slightly sweet outside, classic salty liquorice outside, creamy salty center. So addicting!! I wish they were cheaper and gluten free so I could get more.

These are SO good! Very fresh and tasty. There was actually a fair amount in the bag. They were pricey but so worth it.
