Review: With Ecotrition Yogies being discontinued, I was looking to find suitable replacement for my pet rats. Mini Drops by Vitakraft turned out to be a great substitute, albeit not all the same. The most important thing is the fact that my rats like these. If you want detailed comparison, see below: Content size: Yogies: 3.5 oz Mini Drops: 2.5 oz Texture: Yogies: Creamy and starts melting at skin temperature. Mini Drops: Not as creamy as Yogies, and doesn't melt as fast. Has slightly chalkier texture. Taste: (Yes, I tasted these, for science!) Yogies: Creamy and somewhat sweet with mild fruit or cheese flavor, with mild chalky aftertaste. Mini Drops: Almost immediate chalky flavor, stronger than Yogies, followed by taste of banana or cherry. Less sweet than Yogies. In my anecdotal experience, the initial chalky flavor is minutely similar to that chalky flavor you experience when taking a Vitamin supplement, like the Flintstones Vitamin chews. Size: Yogies: Uniform in size and shape. Mini Drops: Wild variations. See attached photo for reference. Suggested usage: Yogies: 1 to 2 treats per day. Mini Drops: 3 to 5 drops per day. **Q: Are these OK for gerbils to eat?**
A: Yes, so long as they are fed in moderation. You can give your gerbil one a week, nothing more. They are high in sugar, which isn’t great for hamsters or gerbils, but when given as a rare treat it is perfectly healthy.

**Q: Are these good for dwarf hamsters too, such as a robo?**
A: I had a Campbell's Dwarf Hamster many years ago and she loved these. The drops are about the size of a dime, so they are quite big for a dwarf hamster, but mine was still able to eat it, she just had to take small bites.

**Q: Una vez abiertas cuanto tiempo aguantan en buen estado?**
A: Vitakraft Sunseed gives most products a 2 year shelf life.  The Drops with Strawberry should be good up to the expiration date given on the back of the bag, even after opening, as long as they are kept in a cool, dry location.

**Q: Does anyone know how much sugar is in these? I want to make sure I’m not giving my dwarf hamster too much sugar if I get these**
A: They recommend only giving like 1-2 at most a day
