Purchased this in order to add wifi capability to a YouView TV box in a bedroom, and didn't want the hassle of having to install a physical cat6 cable to it through the wall.This device was super easy to install by just plugging into the rj45 network port and then powered by the USB port, which was fantastic rather than requiring a separate power device. You then just connect to the wifi network on the device and configure as necessary in a web-browser to setup on your existing wifi network.The only slightly niggle, what-with using it in a bedroom, are the very bright LEDs that continually flash. I tried tucking it behind the TV in order to hide but this still illuminated the room at night, so resulted in wrapping it with a piece of paper and some tape, which has solved the problem entirely. It would be great if there was an option in the settings to turn off the LEDs, as there is with my wifi access point.

Used to make a non WiFi Sky+ HD Box wireless. Works perfectly but the set up is a bit of a pain and can take a couple of tries....but it does work as advertised.

I have been using this for a few weeks now, it's a fairly elegant solution, very glad that I found it.My unit didn't come with a setup disc, I followed Ney Silva’s suggestions from his review, and HISATdotCOM’s, YouTube video to get this to work, thanks very much both of you. The setup process was done on a Windows 7 laptop, which has since been upgraded to Windows 10. For those that don't have the setup disc, download the “VAP11G Wi-Fi Bridge Configured Tool”, from vonets. It comes as a just over 5MB compressed file, I used 7zip to unpack it, than ran the setup exe. This installed 1 bit of software, then was informed that a 2nd software was recommended for it to work, which I installed too.1./ Before you begin you will need to know your wireless network name and password to be able to set your unit up.2./ It's vital that you switch off the wifi on your computer first. After switching off the wIfi, connect the bridge by the RJ45 plug and usb plug to the computer’s ports. The green LED will start flashing, wait until the blue LED begins flashing too.3./ Open your ‘Internet Explorer’, browser, (apparently, other browsers fail) Enter the address which is in tiny script on the back of your bridge: [...]4./ This will bring you to the bridge’s built in configuration browser. Top right will be 2 boxes to enter ‘admin’, in each of them. Click on ‘Login’.The browser will now show available wireless networks, select yours, then click ‘Next’.5./ Delete the ‘12345678’, from the ‘Source wireless hotspot password’, box. Enter your wireless password, making sure it's correct! Click on ‘Apply’.6./ You should now get the message, ‘The configured parameters have been saved successfully, please make sure the password input is correct’. At this point, I unplug the USB lead for a minute, then plug it back in. Wait until the green and blue LEDs start flashing, and look for the Internet connection icon at the bottom of your computer’s screen.After a while, it should give an indication that you have connected. Before removing the bridge, I advise you to try using the wireless ability of the bridge on your computer as a test, (do a web search or anything that will use the bridge for wifi) to make sure the setup works properly. Now that it works here, you can connect the bridge the same way as you did to your computer, to whichever device that you want wireless capability from. In my case it was a BT Youview box that doesn't have wifi built in.If it doesn't work, press the reset button on the unit while it's powered for 10 seconds, and start the whole process again. Also, you might have to type in the [...] address more than once for the configuration page to load.

Still haven't been able to install this - I am not very IT literate and still have been unable to do it. Will try the Internet for any help - you also need a plug to power it, which it does not state. Perhaps I would have been better buying the sky one then I would have got extra help to install.

This was bought to replace an older model that had just given up the ghost. The instructions can at times be difficult to comprehend but if you get past the odd bit of broken grammar it is easy enough to set up. I used this on a set top box I have to connect wirelessly to my network and it works a charm.Set up initially is done by plugging into your laptop/desktop pc and configuring through it then just plug into whatever device you need to connect wirelessly with.

I bought one of these to connect my musical keyboard to the internet. However, I learned the hard way that the set up programme doesn't work on a 64bit Windows operating system. The instructions were terrible (barely comprehensible) and didn't say this as far as I could see - I only found out from the manufacturer's website help forum after I couldn't get the device to work.I returned it and for £5 or so more bought a Netgear Universal Dual Band Wireless Internet instead. Fantastic instructions and a doddle to set up using WPS--almost plug and play. No need to connect to a PC to set it up if your router has WPS - just press a button on the device and the WPS button on your router and it happens automatically.

Once connected, this isn't terrible.But getting it setup is a nightmare. It's not too bad the first time, but after that, if you want to connect to a new/different network it seems to be pure potluck as to whether you can reset it and access the setup network again.I would definitely spend more and get a more reliable one - probably one that can be setup over USB - next time.

This device is a great little device. Once connected I linked into my skybox no problems and am now able to receive sky anytime+ wirelessly through this device. Only gripe is that the instructions, which are sparse at best are not much use at all. I had to work it out myself, but got there in the end. Would recommend though.

Il prodotto vi arriverà a casa in tempi celeri e in una scatoletta anonima e molto scarna ma che contiene tutto ciò di cui avete bisogno.Se lo usate come ho fatto io ovvero per rendere "wifi" una stampante con solo accesso ethernet l'installazione non vi richiederà più di un paio di minuti.Il primo passo è di collegarlo al pc tramite la porta ethernet e la USB, solo per dargli energia, dopodiché accedere all'indirizzo ip riportato sul piccolo manuale di istruzioni.Una volta fatto ciò vi basterà seguire le istruzioni per configurarlo nella maniera che interessa a voi. Nel mio caso mi è bastato selezionare la rete wifi domestica e inserire la password in modo che lui si potesse collegare in libertà, dopo qualche secondo necessario perché si riavvii il nostro adattatore è pronto a fare il suo dovere. Ci basterà staccarlo e rimontarlo dove desideriamo, ricordandoci sempre che oltre alla porta Ethernet avrà bisogno anche di una USB da cui ricevere energia.Una volta attaccato alla mia stampante ha iniziato a fare egregiamente il suo lavoro.Da sottolineare anche il fatto che esso stesso crei una rete wifi che amplifica quella domestica con la medesima password. Molto Utile e stelle meritate.

La verdad que es un buen invento y me ha solucionado la vida con el Iplus. Ya yengo el Yombi en mi habitacion, que antes no podia tener porque ahi solo tengo wifi. Si es verdad que solo puedes configurar el cacharro en un windows XP. Espero que ese problema lo solucionen pronto. Ni lo intenteis en otros sistemas operativos porque perdereis el tiempo. La velocidad es de 6megas de descarga, cuando en ese mismo punto con el movil me da 30megas de descarga. Pero bueno con eso tengo para su cometido.

Dovevo collegare il mio lettore blue-ray alla rete e mi ha risolto il problema avendo il modem lontano dal salone.Difficile da interpretare il libretto delle istruzioni in quanto nelle foto ci sono degli indirizzi server diversi e non si capisce quale è quello corretto; subito dopo aver provato entrambi e configurato facilissimo da usare. Buon rapporto qualità prezzo e buone le prestazioni.

La funcion de wifi la hace perfectamente, se conecta sin problemas y va estupendamente, la tengo en un deco que no tenia wifi y genial-
