I don't have any wall space to attach climbing apparatus (apparati?), and I'm not really allowed in my rental anyway. But my tiny girl needs respite from being chased by my big boy. He's a "ground cat" and she's more a "tree cat," so the top of the bookshelves was the best option. I tried using one of those floor to ceiling tension mount cat climbing poles, but it wouldn't stay straight and it looked like a drunken scratching post. The only freestanding cat trees tall enough were either horribly ugly or way more expensive than I could afford. The solution? A freestanding display shelf, plus this stick on felt to turn the shelves into secure climbable "stairs." I chose this spiral "staircase" display for the aesthetic appeal of having it by the bookshelves, but there are lots of other options. Basically, this stick on felt can transform a whole lot of atypical items into cat climbers and perches! You just have to put your creative brain in gear and mess around! One roll of this stuff covered 5 of the 8 shelves. I bought 2 rolls, so there's still plenty left to do something else. It was easy to cut with regular scissors, and sticks quite securely. Definitely worth the price to make life safer and better for your beloved feline!

Cats loved it but after it sitting on the wall for awhile the adhesive stayed onto the wall when removing the fabric. It has been a nightmare trying to get the adhesive off. Be warned.

My cat likes to scratch all the corners in the house. So I bought these. They are easy to cut, and easy to install on the wall. They stick great and looks nice too. However, my cat still doesn't scratch these. Now she scratches the door frames where these can't be installed due to patterned moldings. Haha, we cat parents can never win!

So far this is a good quality felt mat pad with what seems to be quality adhesive! I just adhered it to the wood veneer surfaces on my cat's cat tree. It was pretty easy to cut to shape (just need sharp scissors) and easy o stick down. The adhesive does allow it to reposition if you need to, but also it seems very strong. The end of the roll needs a heavy book on it for a few hours to not peel up (because it was so tightly rolled), but it doesn't appear it will be an issue. This product was exactly what I was looking for.

I used this on top of a piece of litterbox-hiding furniture (Way Basics) which our cat also uses as a way to get up onto the bed more easily. She's getting older and it's hard for her to jump as high as she used to. But then she would slide all over the fake wood surface, and hurt her back legs even more! I added this product to the top and it has been so helpful. Easy to cut and stick, and now she has that little bit of extra traction and padding that she needs. Not sure how it will hold up over time but so far we love it.
