I was pleasantly surprised to open this and see that there is a metal wire fed through this, making it stiff (not floppy) so I can easily get it on my foot. I envisioned having make several attempts to lasso it onto my foot. I'm sure it probably stated that somewhere, but being in pain I certainly wasn't reading all the details and I had no idea they came like this so I wouldn't have know any other way. For people like me, I took the pic of me holding it in the air to see it comes like this. It's basically nylon dog leash material. It's not the best material in terms of how it's made (dog owners know what im talking about, the dollar store leash's loose nylon vs a $60 nylon leash from PetSmart), but it's not a dog leash so it can be made cheaper. It's perfect for what it is and for what it's used for. It doesn't make it or break it, but it's good to know. Someone may prefer a better nylon one if they're heavier set. This is super helpful during the time where your muscles are weak, but you're supposed to be stretching and exercising. It's perfect to be able to maneuver your leg onto a pillow or slightly to the left or right (because you can't easily do that after this surgery). All that said, I am rating this as a 5-star item for ME and my needs. It's perfect for me.
