How Do You Soften This?

All dried beans including dried black beans can be softened and cooked in various ways. .... The easiest/quickest is by pressure cooking them. Or they can be cooked in the oven or on the stovetop in only 20-30 min longer than if soaked (often starting with boiling water). Or they can be pre-soaked and then cooked afterwards (quick-soaked by boiling for 1-2 min then letting sit for an hour; or regular soaked by soaking in water at least 4-6 hours)....
