These lights can be amazing for the right purposes!
I purchased these light for the intention of my patio. I wanted lights that were not overly bright as I like to use my patio to look at the stars. The lights themselves are deceptively small on a very thin wire that attaches to the solar pack. I bought 4 sets of 33 ft lights. I have had lights similar to these I had bought at the dollar store during Halloween about 8 years or so ago. I had a ton of these small ones in different colors and I use them in strange places because they are battery packed light. I have loved these types of lights for a long time and thought it would be cool to not have to replace a battery all the time. These little cheap lights did not disappoint! When unboxing them and going to put them where you want them the most important thing to remember is to NOT unwind them. Unwind and secure as you go otherwise you will end up with a hot mess of tangled wires. It can be extremely frustrating to try to do this. I have stored my old lights on a small piece of cardboard when I wanted to move them or for storage. This simple step will save you a lot of time not arguing with the wires. Pros: these take almost 0 space for storage. They come in a billion colors and you could use them for any holiday or no holiday at all. They are light weight and you can use them to brighten a wreath, or put them in your car to light up floor boards and place the solar pack in your back window. I have a pack under my car that I taped to a grease mat in the garage and fed the pack outside of the garage door and have them on flash mode to keep mice and rats away. I can run them over and they donât break They are easy to hide. You donât have to use heavy mounting hooks and could use a million different kind of ways to fasten them. From plain scotch tape to putty to gum if you really wanted to. They are cheap! You donât have to place the in the solar pack in the ground as a single 3m Velcro sticker will hold it. They are so versatile and add a bit of elegance without much effort. The light donât break. The lights donât burn out. I have had the ones in the cat box for close to 10 years and they still work perfectly. They are beautiful and give off enough light you could use them instead of Xmas lights on your house. You could even just leave them up and just turn them off because they are almost invisible during the day and if you tuck them in well they will still have a beautiful glow even under eves or gutters. They are literally free to have on. Cons: they tangle if you are not careful when you unwrap them. If the do get tangled and you start twisting them you can break the wire and ruined them. I have lost them after storing them and forgetting to label the box well because they are so small. I canât recommend these lights enough. Every diy and crafty person should have a bunch of these. If you want the smaller ones you can grab them at the dollar tree. Just so you know. But I am now I love w the solar ones!

Really good lights - work very well outdoors, not affected by rain.
These have been a great addition to our back yard. The wires are very very thin and the lights are barely visible when they aren't lit. When wound around shrub or a wooden deck post they're virtually invisible during the day. I put two on shrubs in our garden, and wrapped the others around two tall deck posts - they look so cozy and have added a lot to our yard all summer long! They work great even during hot humid summer weather and through some heavy rain storms. Fun addition to some other colorful solar lights we have. The solar charging pads can be set in the sun by themselves or attached to the included stakes to be placed sturdily in the ground or wedged into a shrub. They don't need a full day's bright sun, either. A couple of them get shade half the day and stay sufficiently charged to shine bright all night. I mostly keep them on the constant steady on mode - although a couple of them are on twinkling lights mode, which isn't too annoying. There's several modes including one that glows brighter, then dims, then repeats. Great for outdoor decor, parties, events, Weddings.

Great little lights!
Great string lights to add a bit of flare to your space. Battery life ia great! I have no idea how long it lasts as I haven't stayed up late enough to find out! They definitely go for at least 6 hours after sundown. They aren't bright to the point to light things up, but a good accent to a tree, post, etc.

Great for the price
Only reason I'm giving 4 stars instead of 5 is because the picture is misleading on how bright these lights are. Otherwise, I knew what to expect when I was ordering them, considering the price. They're great as accent lights, or edging lights. They're super pretty at night, have different setting, and the solar charging works great as well. I charged them for about an hour, in directsun, and they lasted about 3 hours, but that was directly out of the box. After 4 hours of direct sunlight they lasted for at least 6 hours, or until i couldn't see them turned on due to the sun coming up. They also survived an unexpected heavy downpour. I bought them specifically to line our walk way while camping, not to illuminate it, but to line the edge so we didn't trip over the concrete in the middle of the night. They're super pretty, but don't be mislead by the picture. They're led's on a thin wire that can tangle super easy, but if you're careful, you won't make a mess of it. They're super light, so if you're using them on the ground, you'll need something to weigh it down. Wrapping around a tree or post? Perfect. I used rocks at my campsite to weigh the wires down and they did what I expected and I was pleasantly surprised with how well the solar charging worked, and how the setting worked on the flash/patterns. I'll do an updated review when we go camping again, and how well they survive storage, but over all, I knew they weren't going to be the highest quality with the price I paid, but I was very happy with how well they worked. If you're looking for super bright lights? This isn't what you want. If you're wanting pretty accent lights that'll go anywhere? These will work. Just remember, super thin wire that bends easily.

Bright, twinkly whimsy for the garden!
Lasted several years outside, through rain, snow, and shine! Very bright with different settings. One set eventually snapped, but that was my fault. I installed around the branches of a small tree in the yard... sort of forgetting that trees do this funny thing called "grow." đ If purchasing to wind around trees/shrubs, I suggest either removing them at the end of a season. But maybe to others, that's obvious đ . Otherwise, one strand covers a lot with a long cord connecting to the solar panel, and they can withstand all types of weather! Good buy!

Perfect addition to my patio.
These were the perfect addition to my patio. I needed solar powered lights, as my outlet is kind of tucked behind my patio couch. I put faux plant panels on a wall and was able to weave the wires through them, and poke some of the lights through the panels. You canât see the wiring in daylight, which I love. They seem to turn on automatically when the sun sets, giving my patio the whimsical touch I was aiming for, and I canât wait for it to warm up a bit more so I can enjoy some wine with friends and bring the plants back. I face east and it seems like solar panels get plenty of sun to recharge every day. I love the soft white coloring as well.

Beautiful But Frustrating!!!
First of all, I should have intentionally looked at the negative reviews but because the percentage was small I didnât bother (hard lessons learned). My first delivery was great. Copper wires brand new, nicely rolled, lights working etc. However nothing prepared me for the tedious TWO HOUR detangling that took place. I wanted so bad to give up but I hate starting projects and donât finish them, so I took a deep breath and weathered the storm. I had half a side done but did not turn on lights again because I wanted to have the other side completed before I officially turned the fairy lights on. I placed another order - did the pre-testing like the first pair. This time when they arrived this pair looked âusedâ (bent up like it was a return item). I attached a photo but photo doesnât capture how bad it was in reality. I had no patience to do a replacement and since the lights worked I went ahead and set it up. Another TWO hours detangling just like the first pair. With neither pairs did I get rough with the copper wire; no matter how inpatient I felt. I donât like my time wasted, so I was extremely careful. FINALLY everything was set up and I turned on the fairy lights setting the rhythm. Lights were beautiful, bright and sparkly. However, I thought it could stand to be a bit âwarmer white.â Itâs fall and I didnât want it to look like Christmas yet; but the lights being tiny made it forgivable. Just ONE NIGHT of success and they stayed lit all night until about 6am then they cut off. SECOND night they started off bright then slowly got faint in brightness with one side completely cutting off by 10pm and other side clearly fading out and cut off in the 1am hour. I donât know what you guys do in manufacturing but I doubt you use the sun to make these fairy lights that bright & long lasting starting off - just from reading negative reviews. Ppl have them in direct sunlight and theyâre not lasting neither brighter than my lights, so I canât blame this on not enough sun. Four hours of my precious life I will never get back installing these lights. My gut is telling me to return them all while the window is still open - rather than try to replace them. I honestly donât have it in me to do exchanges and try to deal with the wiring all over again just for it to end up the same way. I thought this was great value for quality lights and I was wrong. Iâm so bummedâšď¸. Three stars just because theyâre pretty.
