My husband loves this thing. Him and the neighbors fixed a cracked engine block with it. It work well and is great for lots of different welding projects.

Got started with one of their smaller stick welding units. Moved to this. So far I've only used the flux core included, however I am very impressed. This unit is very easy to use, settings are self explanatory. The synergetic setting is extremely helpful, especially if you're fairly new at welding. I saw another review stating it's "not DIY friendly" which is entirely inaccurate. If you've never welded in your life, this is extremely easy to get into and learn. Just remember if you're new to get your PPE and have a solid place to work and expect a slight learning curve. If you have welded this unit is a great purchase and super easy to use.

Great product

Purchased as a gift. Item came with second and third layers of tape holding a water damaged box together. Found extra parts thrown in the box with the bag ripped open that was around the welder. Alot of the parts are still wrapped in the plastic but the manual and spare rollers also show rust and signs of water. For the price it's still worth it if it works. Point is that it's definitely either a return or refurbished unit and I bought new.

It would be a great option for those new to welding, because it is capable of giving the user experience with a great variety of welding processes and enabling one to choose which best suits their needs. It is capable of MIG flux welding right out of the box! Buy a helmet with this and you'll have a complete package ready to begin welding as soon as it arrives! The welder requires a single phase 110V/220V 50/60HZ grounded outlet backed up by a 50 Amp 220 V circuit breaker. I mention this, because personally, I had to have some changes made to my electrical box before I could utilize the tool. I was particularly looking forward to the TIG welding features of this welder, but that will have to wait. It is capable of it , but does not come with the TIG gun, or any gases. A great choice, particularly for those just starting! 4 stars! Thee excellent photos on Amazon, provided by the seller, do more justice to the product than any I could add. Any additional photos I might add would only prove redundant. Explaining my rating system: 5 - a superior product - I would recommend 4 - above average – a great choice 3 - average – what one might generally expect 2 - below average – I would advise seeking an alternative 1- Horrible – a waste of your valuable money - avoid if at all possible

I hesitated to leave this review too soon because this welder was so inexpensive that I assumed it wouldn't make it through the first day of welding. To my surprise, it has run coils of wire now at 160 amp to full 200 amp mode without hiccup or hesitation. The welds are professional, even using fluxcore wire. Now I cannot say anything about how long it will last or how good the service will be if needed, but so far I am absolutely blown away. As a fun fact, I have been running this on a dedicated 220v 20amp double pole circuit breaker on a 30amp rated cable near the fuse box without any circuit breakers tripping. I have not run into a duty cycle issue either. I will try to keep this updated.
