The narration was perfectly cast—Teddy Hamilton, Lucy Rivers, Shane East, JF Harding, Michelle Sparks, Zara Hampton-Brown, and Roxelana Waters completely brought these characters to life. I’ve been impatiently waiting since the audiobook was announced, and it was so worth it. The story pulled me in from the very beginning and didn’t let go. If you’ve been waiting to start this series because you prefer to listen—don’t wait any longer! You won’t regret it. Insatiable by @authorleighrivers is a dark romance that plunges into the twisted depths of obsession and desire. Stacey, the girl who once shattered his heart, has become the center of his darkest thoughts. Kade’s life in the underworld has only fueled his obsession, driving him to eliminate anyone who gets too close to her. Now, with a brief moment of freedom, he returns home, determined to reclaim Stacey, no matter the cost. The tension between Kade and Stacey is intense, filled with a mix of hatred and undeniable attraction. Their relationship is fraught with past betrayals and a dangerous pull that neither can resist. Rivers delves into the complexities of their connection, creating a story that is both dark and compelling. Given the nature of the story, Insatiable is not for the faint of heart. The author includes a content warning, emphasizing the book’s darker themes and the intensity of the characters’ relationship. For fans of dark romance, this book offers a gripping and turbulent ride through love, hate, and obsession. Overall, Insatiable is a powerful tale of passion and revenge, perfect for readers who enjoy exploring the darker side of love. Review: Give me More! - Leigh Rivers Insatiable is a masterclass in dark romance, leaving readers emotionally wrecked and craving more. As the first installment in a gripping series, it delves into the complex interplay of obsession, trauma, and the intense dynamics of a forbidden love affair. The narrative centers around Kade Mitchell, a character who is both haunting and fascinating. His obsessive fixation on Stacey Rhodes is the crux of the story, driving the plot with a magnetic force. Kade is portrayed as a deeply flawed yet compelling figure—a blend of psychotic tendencies and raw emotional depth. His descent into darkness post-breakup and his subsequent entanglements with nefarious elements are portrayed with a palpable sense of dread and inevitability. Rivers does an exceptional job of illustrating Kade's duality: his vulnerable teenage years fraught with anxiety around Stacey contrast starkly with his later, darker self. Stacey Rhodes is equally complex and tragic. Her life has been a relentless battle against abuse and mistrust. Rivers paints a vivid picture of her suffering—caught in a nightmarish cycle with her abusive stepbrother and a father who dismisses her pain. This background sets the stage for her complicated relationship with Kade, a relationship marred by years of separation and mutual trauma. Stacey's struggle to trust and her internal battles are portrayed with sensitivity and depth. Rivers' writing excels in capturing the psychological intensity of the characters’ experiences. The dark romance genre thrives on pushing boundaries, and Insatiable certainly does that. The blend of obsession and trauma is not just a backdrop but a driving force of the narrative, adding layers of tension and suspense that keep readers on edge. Despite the intense and sometimes uncomfortable themes, the book is undeniably compelling. Kade's obsessive nature and Stacey's trauma intertwine in a way that is both disturbing and fascinating. The emotional turmoil experienced by both characters is portrayed with a raw honesty that makes their journey all the more gripping. Insatiable is not an easy read; it challenges readers with its dark themes and complex characters. However, it is precisely these elements that make it so impactful. Rivers has crafted a story that is both unsettling and unforgettable, ensuring that readers will be eager to dive into the next installment. As someone who rated this book four stars, it’s clear that the story’s intensity and emotional depth left a lasting impression. Prepare for an emotional rollercoaster and a narrative that will linger long after the final page.

page turner!
I really love this book! It’s not usually the type that I reached for, but I could not put it down. I’m super excited to read the rest of the series. I think the writing is great. I think the storylines are great and I love the characters.

⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️
This is my second time reading this and it’s even better the second time around. It is definitely one of my all-time favorite reads. And I read A LOT! It is dark. But it is so beautiful. The pain, emotions, and passion are felt through the words on each page. And it just takes hold of your heart. This series made me want to read anything Leigh Rivers writes. And I have. And they are all ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ for me!

CLIFFHANGER CONCERN
Unfortunately, I couldn't give this a 4 or 5. The writing was excellent, story line drew you in, kept you engaged in the book with heat. Clarifying, I intensely dislike cliffhangers and admit this was my own fault for not reviewing before purchase. I rarely read cliffhangers as my humble opinion is the writer isn't secure enough in writing to produce a stand alone book so this is a way to milk the readers for more money. Have to admit have purchased the other two books to complete the series but will not be reading this author again if they continue to be cliffhangers. I could abide by one additional book making it a two book series; but three tells me the author has the inability to wrap it up in two books - yes more money. Sad.

Wattpad stalker - ARC Read: ( i don’t think i’ve added spoilers but read with caution please ) Ahhhh still so happy for this book and the opportunity to read it - read it in under 24 hours lol. KADE MITCHELL has the biggest place in my heart, this book is amazing and i’m dying for the next installment. Stacey and Kades story is heartbreaking and you cannot help but get so immersed into their world. My heart hurts for how much both characters go through while still silently loving each other during it all even if the love is toxic to the T … Both characters are immature in their way of thinking, struggle to communicate anything for fear of so many things and taking into account the huge events both are going through. For Stacey her home life is hell, she doesn’t want to drag anyone into it for fear of risk to them. While she did speak up once and wasn’t believed that does damage to a person in its self and ability to speak up. She tries her best to navigate the love she has for Kade while keeping him and everyone she loves oblivious to the dangers she encounters- seriously I never NEVER hated a character as much as her step brother …. Kade only wants to protect the ones he loves by keeping them out of the manipulated spiders web he is intwined in with Bernadette going through things no teen should ever experiance. Kade already behind in a lot of ways due to his inability to process emotions gets set back even further from his life he should be in, while navigating a situation he cannot exscapse obsessing over his ex who broke his heart. Watching their stories unfold both together and seperated and seeing the situations they come into gives you a different look. The ending had me on the edge of my seat dying waiting for the next installment. Please check trigger warnings before reading this, it is a dark romance and has triggering content in it so careful reading.

To say that I’m obsessed with Leigh and her writing style is the understatement of the century. After reading The Web of Silence duet and falling head over heels for Malachi and Olivia’s story, I knew I had to read more of this universe. Not only was I immediately sucked into a gripping and intense story but I knew that The Edge of Darkness trilogy was going to take over my top spot for dark romance series. The story Stacey Rhodes and Kade Mitchell are forced back into proximity with each other, two years after the brutal events that break them up. Kade is determined to continue hating Stacey for what she did, and Stacey is driven to move on from the past. The two are drawn together with sizzling chemistry and must navigate the depths of the underworld, abusive relationships, and the small moments of freedom that they are granted with each other. The characters I want to start with Stacey because I was so drawn into her story. I felt so pulled into her experiences. From our first interaction with Stacey, I found myself interested in her unique perspective. She met a boy at 15 and fell deeply with him. They learned the ins and outs of love together. It was an adorable story filled with love and happiness and now as we see her grown into age 21 and dealing with the extremities of her home life plus the repercussions of her relationship with Kade, we can truly see the stark difference of her childhood years to her adult years. As someone who’s currently 21 and is finding bits of myself within these characters, I couldn’t help but mourn childhood Stacey with hope and innocence. She was dealing with everything even back then but the softness of her has disappeared as she’s grown up into this strong and beautiful woman. I found myself loving Stacey as a main character and every inch of her was something that I felt I related to. I loved reading her perspective and really feeling the femininity and adulthood seeping into her words. I honestly don’t know where to begin with Kade because I’ve never fallen so quickly for a character before. Undeniably misunderstood, Kade Mitchell is the softest man I’ve met in my career as a reader. Watching him grow up from age 15-18 and seeing his innocence and softness when it came to Stacey had me in tears. He’s probably one of the best male characters I’ve ever had the chance of reading. Not only that but seeing the progression of his feelings into his adulthood years we can see how he’s been handling the difficulties he’s had to face, including the loss of Stacey, the person he trusted more than anybody. This twisted version of his reality is definitely something that I wish he didn’t have to deal with but we can see that he still holds strong to his morals and the fact that he may be becoming similar to his dad but doesn’t want to lose himself into those urges. I found myself proud of him and my heart swelled with every page that Kade was in. I love that he’s still human beneath all of the inhuman acts that he’s had to face and despite it all, Stacey is still his rock. The writing Leigh Rivers has a talent for sucking you into a story and never letting you go. I started this book fairly early on in the day and ended up reading into the late hours of the night just obsessing over Kade and Stacey’s chemistry. I love how gripping the story is and how easy it is to understand. From page one you’re pulled into a world of twisted darkness and beautiful wording full of love stories that make you want to scream from their intensity. Final thoughts At this point there is no contest. Leigh River’s has beat every single dark romance from the top spot on my list and Insatiable has taken over. Kade Mitchell and Stacey Rhodes may be the best and most beautiful couple I’ve ever read about and I can’t wait to dive into book two even though I know Leigh is about to put me through the ringer. Rating: 5/5⭐️
