Quite good.It's nicely made and has a quality feel to it, and it's reasonably rugged I suppose. It's also fairly quick for a 2.5" external drive.That said, it's a solid lump without any rubberised bumpers or other protection and quite honestly I would not be at all confident of retaining any data if I dropped it from my hand onto a hard foor - concrete etc. And the other concern is that there is no way on planet earth that it is water resistant. The little rubber plug that covers the USB socket barely stays in and wouldn't keep a raindrop out, let alone if you dropped it in the kitchen sink or anything like that.So all in all, quite a nice product but if you are really relying on a device to store valuable data, you could do better. For a casual, non-critical backups, then OK fine.

Easy to set up
No issues..doing the job.....so far. But maybe a light to allow you see it's on & writing to disc would be helpful.

Rugged, shockproof, Waterproof, Portable Harddrive
A rugged, shockproof, waterproof, portable external harddrive.I read bad reviews regarding this product but this has not been my experience.As part of my job, I do a fair bit of travelling and I need to carry my data with me. I was looking for a product that would stand-up to the daily abuse of commuting and I came across the Silicon Power harddrive.In comparison to other portable drives of the same capacity, it's quite a bulky item. I'm sure this is done to the inherent protective design aspect of the device. It feels well built and looks stylish too. There is a short USB 3.0 cable which can be stored in the slot provided on the housing. You also get another longer cable.Overall a good rugged drive which should be able to withstand the odd knoc, drop etc.I purchased this item at full price. If the product is unworthy of a good review, I think it is unfair to leave positive feedback as this can mislead potential buyers. I hope you found the review helpful.
