A classic Japanese sweets that convey Edo-period feel. Toraya is household name; when you hear Yokan you’ll think of Toraya. Great at home with green tea(bitter the better!) and perfect to have one or two as emergency ration when going into wilderness: individual packaging is appreciated here👍 when eating it with green tea it often is served with a little katana shaped pick: slice thin and have little by little as you enjoy tea and time slowly passing by… love Toraya!

Elegant & smooth texture! Rich taste with bean than agar agar itself which often happens to inexpensive ones or name brand value and poor quality YOKANs. Perfect level of sweetness to me (Japanese). If you love very sweet taste like add more than 2 packets of sugar in a 16oz coffee or regular American sweets with tons of sugar with additional flavors, you won't enjoy this. Received the box on Feb 19 2021 and expiration date is Oct 2021 which is not bad. One stick of yokan size is 3 inch x 1 inch x 3/4 inch. FYI, this is safe for vegan. Each flavor has clear character. I personally love very right side(Aduki bean original taste) and very left side (generous portion of dark brown sugar taste) yokan in the box. Toraya yokan is well know as the best yokan in Japan since 1600s. Please accept the total price if you live in outside of Japan. It is not unreasonably expensive price in japan anyway.

Dangerous to have around because they're so good. Lovely, really.

This is not sweet, just barely which is great. My favorite is Yoku Moku Macadamia try that -the best ever and this one is good too, very typical Japanese sophisticated enough, and doesn't create chaos in digestion.

I bought it as a birthday gift for my dad, and he loved it, so I was very satisfied.

Reminds me of old days

these are a good variety pack if you like youkan from Japan. I highly recommend.
