These work very well for (PIERCED/ POST STYLE) either large, heavy, "swinging/dangling" oversized earrings that usually hang down or "tilt" down on your earlobe. IMPORTANT...you must adjust the "fit" of how the backing slides on the post part of your earrings. If the backs easily slide on & off your posts, the backing must be adjusted by using a needle nose plier to SUPER-GENTLY SQUEEZE the two protruding parts on either side of the hole together LIGHTLY & JUST SLIGHTLY until there is some resistance when placing the backing on the post. Do not squeeze together too hard...only slight little movements make a difference - if you squeeze too hard or too tight, the backing will break!! I have 3 piercings in each earlobe & love to change up my earrings-these are the only backings that work well, keeps heavy earrings from tilting or falling off and does not turn my earlobes "greenish" from cheap metal!! These work great for keeping heavy earrings from making your earlobes stretch or the piercing holes to stretch. I don't have gauged ears or any tears. But I have a few heavier pairs of earrings that were uncomfortable and that I didn't like the look since it was pulling the earlobe down. These fixed that issue perfectly! I bought a second set as a stocking stuffer gift for my daughter. They are a bit thin so they could bend if not handled with care. But the lightweight-ness of them means they don't put added weight on the earlobes.

These are made with a clever design to ensure you are putting them on correctly. According to the enclosed instructions, you always wear them so that the heart part of the backs are on top when you slide them onto the post of your earrings. This insures that the weight of the earring pulls the heart against your ear which, in turn, counterbalances the earring and holds it securely against your ear. They're really lightweight, but they work well. I tried them on my heaviest earrings to see just how securely these backs hold and they do not disappoint. Even using them with lighter earrings you can tell they are held much more tightly and upright against your ear. They are designed so you can tighten or loosen the clasp on them so they're adjusted just the way you want them. A friend gave me a set of these for Christmas and I liked them so I bought more for myself and a couple more sets for my sisters to try. I'm happy that this set comes in both 18K gold plated sterling silver and sterling silver because I have earrings in both colors and I'd prefer them to match. They are a great idea and they have a very pretty finish.

Its nice when they're tight but they loosen up and I actually dropped one while wearing it. When you've adjusted them properly, absolutely amazing. But with a bit of wear post adjustment, it's falling off. Needs to be a bit stronger instead of loosening uo during wear.

I can finally wear my earrings so they can be seen! I had bought 2 carat Moissanite earrings but they were lost on my ear lobes until getting these. Can’t wait to recommend to my women friends. Sturdy comfortable and a good value easy to use and perfect fit and weight.

I hate to give a little one star review on any product, but this is about how it worked for me and it didn't. The one star was awarded because I, at least, did get a pair of gold & a pair of silver which is rare I gather from other reviews. First I tried it without loosening the clamps & I bent the post of my gold earrings. Tried it looser & they didn't take hold at all & left the earring dangling there. I messed with them some more with 'disposable' old earrings & gave up. Maybe I don't have enough patience but there you have it. I had bought another product called BCP Plastic Rubber Clutch earring backs at the same time for $5.99 for a Baggie of 100 because I'm leaving on a trip & I wanted something to work for me. The rubber backs worked! Granted the rubber ones won't last long, but I've got 100 of them. The Magic Bax may work for many people, but they were too much of a hassle for me. My issue is a torn hole in one ear lobe & the rubber backings do hold my earrings in place so I'll go for replacing the 100 when I go through these. Not a big deal at the price. I wasted $26 on the Magic Bax.

I love these. I had read some negative reviews and I am sorry they didn't work out for those people, but to me they are GREAT. I did not have my ears pierced professionally, and the person who pierced they made the holes a tad too low. Large studs have always drooped a little and not looked good on me, but with the Magic Bax, they sit up and look very pretty. Thank you. P.S. They were a little tight at first, but I followed the instructions with a credit card to open them up just a little, and it worked like a charm.

The magic BAX earring back replacements are very comfortable and they work. Heavy earrings are lifted so that they sit properly on my earlobe when the earring b a x are used. The price is a bit steep for only two sets.
