The product quality seems solid and it does help with soundproofing. However, the chemical smell is extremely strong and unpleasant—even after a few days of installation with ventilation. It’s not suitable for indoor use unless you’re ready to deal with the odor for a long time. I wish the manufacturer had mentioned the smell more clearly in the description.

These panels will be much easier to install and manage than traditional 4 foot wide rolls of MLV. While the panels are good quality, the smell will not dissipate at all. I left them outside for 4 weeks to air out, however the odor is still just as strong. When I purchased the item, the listing stated that airing out the panels outdoors for a week would reduce the odor, but it did not. This info has since been removed from the listing. I am going to try washing them with a vinegar based solution and baking soda to hopefully reduce some of the odor. These panels will work great, but just keep in mind they must be covered/hidden, otherwise the odor will be unbearable.

I placed them in the a/c closet. Worked good in reducing the air handler noise.
