Warm and dry all day through heavy rain
I bought these pants because I was going to be at Disneyland during what was rated severe weather. (I actually bought five different brands, and this was by far the best one.) I knew I'd be outdoors all day in heavy rain. I couldn't have been more warm and dry wearing these pants and a long puffy coat. The pants have elastic at the ankle if you unroll them, so I did that to cover my shoes and not have water collecting in the cuffs or tops of my shoes. The fit was pretty loose, which made maneuvering very easy while wearing a couple layers. At the end of the day, they were damp on the outside, but nothing soaked (my poor hubby's jeans were soaked through), and they dried very quickly. I don't love being out in weather, but these pants helped create an insulated warm bubble for me to walk around in. I didn't even use an umbrella, just pulled up my hood. Will be great for late night walks as the temperature dips as well. Inseam wasn't overly long either (I wear petite length). When not raining, two cuff rolls so you can see the flannel will be a pretty good fit, and the elastic keeps it from being overly bulky. Great purchase!!

Best pair of winter pants that I have had in many years
A friend casually mentioned these pants to me during dinner. Knowing that I have just been all over Amazon and a few other sites looking for something to wear in northeast Ohio winter weather, I ordered these that same evening. I have already had two chances to wear them and I am absolutely in love with them. They are soft on the inside basically windproof and warm everything I was asking for in a pair of winter clothing. I have turned them wrong side out words and wash them and they look brand new I even put them in the dryer on a very quick low heat setting and then hung them up to continue to dry. They held their shape they did not shrink, and that is a win-win situation for me. I highly recommend these winter pants to anyone who wants to remain warm. I do have to say that they run a little large, I typically wear a 2X and that is the size I purchased, and they are some white big on me. I think they will be a perfect size if I put longjohns under them. I am planning on purchasing another pair and a size 1X.

Nice pants that run VERY large
I like the pants, but I wish the sizing were more accurate. I am 5'7" and weigh 135-140 lbs and have a straight build (i.e., no waist) and the size 8 was huge on me. I took in the waist by almost two inches. The legs are a bit baggy, but I'm fine with that. Very warm and the length is great. I like the fabric - it makes a bit of "wind suit" noise when you walk, but nothing too annoying. The elastic at the bottom is very loose, so they basically look straight at the bottom (in case that matters to you).

Great pants for mountain living.
These are great pants. We live in the Sierra Nevada mountains. The temp is around 35 most days now in the winter. These pants keep my legs nice and warm and I have room to layer underneath if needed. The top is a a little loose but I just fold over the elastic band and they work great. I would recommend these pants. Only complaint is that I found them at Costco for half the price.

Warm, light and comfortable.
I love these pants! They are lightweight yet nice and warm. I could do with a little higher rise because when I sit down, the back rides down a bit - this is due to the outside material not being stretchy I assume. All in all I would buy them again.

My new favorite pants!
I love that the outer fabric is matte, wind resistant and has a lot of stretch. I think they would be waterproof as well, but I have not tested that yet. They are extremely comfortable and look like regular pants. I liked them so much that I bought them in three different colors. I think they run a little bit on the loose side, though I’ve also lost some weight so it’s hard to tell. I bought the 14s originally and they are a bit baggy so I’m keeping them for when I need to wear long johns underneath (which won’t be necessary very often because the lining of these pants is very warm, even in a Maine winter), and then I bought two more pair in a size 12 and they fit perfectly. The pockets are great. I’d like that you can turn up the cuffs and show some of the lining and it looks cute. They wash well. Not a single complaint, except I’d like them in more colors.

Great pants for winter walking
These are great pants. Back of the waist seems to sit a little lower than the front, but it’s not a problem. Very warm for being outside in Wisconsin winters

Flimsy. Looks & felt cheap. Not worth $53.
I’ve bought Eddie Bauer clothes for 40 years, these felt like they came from the dollar store. Very disappointed. Zip quality for $53!Material felt cheap. Minimal stretch elastic at anklesReturn was a cluster! I don’t have a printer so I can’t print a return mailing label and UPS charges me three dollars. On my return it said pay a dollar and Amazon will mail you a mailing label. After a week and no label I called Amazon and they said oh no the label has to come from Eddie Bauer and they will take care of it.Well, another week goes by I contact Amazon again. This time they said they talked with Eddie Bauer and now a label will be in the mail.A week later I get an email from Eddie Bauer, telling me to take it to the UPS and scan the QR code. That was not an option when I did the return. Only a mailing label was the option.I took it to UPS paid three dollars to have them mail it plus already paid $1 for the Amazon return label that never was mailed. There is no way that these pants are worth $53. None! I would definitely not recommend buying them. I’m 5’7”, 160 pounds and the XL was a sloppy fit with short legs and minimal elastic around the legs.I’m learning not to buy many items from 3rd party vendors. Returning an item is not always easy.

Comfy
Very comfortable and sleek. However, the outer shell is a sort of snowpants material if you know what I mean. I thought they would look like regular slacks, but they look more like ski pants. Good fit and very comfortable.
